i was standing at the kitchen sink and i suddenly felt very strange! sick, dizzy and i started shaking, couldnt stop! i thought maybe i need to eat (ive had breakfast) i was shaking so bad all i managed to grab was a piece of bread that i was about to toast afer i had washed up!!and i got the phone of the work top incase i needed to call someone!!! i sat down, still shaking and managed to eat the bread, i started to feel a little better so i got up and got a yogurt and a drink of fruit juice.
i feel fine now but it worried me!!!

I have had that darling, low blood pressure can happen due to the increased pressure on our blood flow and we end up feeling faint! Best thing is to lie down if it happens xxxx

I haven't had it quite so bad with the shaking but have had something like this a few times recently, usually happens if im standing up too long .. weird :-k

yes lay down and raise your legs slighty. Will make you feel much better

Glad your feeling better..take care of yourself.

i just got off the phone to my midwife, ive got to go in at 4pm and have my blood presure taken as its just happened again, she said in the meantime ive got to rest and drink plenty of water, she asked me questions about how my week has been and thinks i might be suffering from exhaustion as ive not stopped running round and had a very busy few weeks, plus im not sleeping AT ALL maybe an hour before my alarm goes off and im up at 5.30am for work :(
i havent got time for this, my kids have got so much on at school leading up to christmas and ive got to make costumes, cakes, do school projects and help out on 2 school trips, plus work and keep the house going!!

Is there anyway you can cut back on some of those commitments? Or get more help at home? It does sound like a lot to be taking on, especially when you're pregnant, not sleeping and running round after other children. Take care of yourself.

well my blood pressure is low but not dangerously, had some blood taken to test my iron levels and told to rest, im off to bed, im so tired i could cry :(

hey there,

I get this all the time too but strangly I thought it was food related as it always seem to happen around lunch time or if I am not eating at least every 1.5 hours.

For the house work - it will always be there maybe have a chill period for a couple of weeks or get your OH to help out at the w.e. You can always sort the dust out when your feeling better.

School - tell them your not feeling great sure they will understand helping out with the trips and hopefully someone else can step in.

Have you got any family members that can help with the kids one night a week? so you can get on top of your sleep?

Its your time to chill and dont take on too much - you need to feel as healthly as you can :o)

Tammie!! you HAVE to look after yourself babes.. this is soooo important :hugs:
Please slwo down for you and bubas sake, can you get signed off work for a while to catch up on some sleep/rest? xxx

Ive had it once, around 16-17 weeks or so.

All of a sudden started to feel sick to my stomach, then my vision started to go black and my hearing was fading away too.. I kept repeating to my husband "Im going to faint".
My husband told me I was so pale I looked like a dead person.
That and I started sweating big time.

So I sat down, my husband put cold wet towel in my neck, which made me feel better.. then I started drinking a gatorade and eating a chocolate bar.. after a few minutes I started to regain my vision and hearing and was so relieved I didn't pass out all the way!

My blood pressure was pretty low at that time.. so I'm pretty sure that was it.
My midwife didn't seem worried and said it's pretty common, just be careful not to fall when that happens.

thanks xxx i feel better now,i had a few lazy days and made sure im eating properly and taking my iron pills.
it scared me so much i dont want it to happen again so im taking it easy from now on x
