Wow shocked at growth scan

Well had my growth scan this morning as baby was supposedly small

Not anymore baby is measuring 41 weeks tomorrow.

They confirmed he is defiantly a he.

I'm getting excited now
But scared too xxx

They gave me a centile chart and baby is right at the very top!

I had to laugh I asked if we could see the face and she had to press a bit hard and the baby gave the prodder a real big punch! She said oh sorry and took it off for a second she could believe how hard he punched it lol

Yeah a similar thing happened to me, I was measuring a few weeks behind and had a scan, the scan showed I was actually carrying a big baby- 8lbs at 37 weeks! She's just crammed in (pressing on my kidney which is why I had a scan to start with)... I must admit I was relieved as everyone was giving me a hard time about having a very small bump!

Mine measured 6lb 11 oz at 36+2 days!! I didn't even weigh this when I was born lol

lol! snap!! same weight as my baby at my scan on tuesday which was 36+2 lol!
im hoping she doesnt grow too much more!

but yikes at OP if your baby was considered small! lol! i bet that made you feel much better knowing that baby was fine and thriving even with a small bump xxx

Chichestermum out of interest, is this your first pregnancy or have you any other children? Just wondering what your other kids weight was when they were born - or what I actually mean is do you give birth to big or small babies

everyone says im 'really small' so expect a small baby but it just goes to show that it could be a big baby just hiding lol

growth scans can be off by 300-500grms which is quite a bit i wouldnt worry about anything yet lol

this is 2nd baby, DD was 7lb 5oz so she was averaged sized lol! xxx

growth scans can be off by 300-500grms which is quite a bit i wouldnt worry about anything yet lol

can that be 300-500g more as well as less? yikes if it is! il pray for 300-500 g less lol! xx

Aww that's a nice average size I think I could manage that I had another scan this morning at hospital appt and baby is 3.1 kg which converts to 6lb 13 oz, its growth is slowing down thank god

OMG i'm a silly cow I posted earlier in this thread saying my baby weighed 6lb 11oz last week, i'd bloody well read the convertion wrong!!! 2773 grams is actually 6lb 1oz

Stupid converter application on my phone!!!

lol converters on phones are always poop! i tried converting G to OZ on my phone to make a cake a few months back, it went AWFUL! lol! never again, i just stick to Delias conversions lol! xx
