I agree wtf .. if someone wants a baby soo bad, you would think they wouldn't care what colour hair he/she may have...

My DH, daughter, and I all have red hair. And I am constantly seeing women dying their hair red so it's kind of amazing to me that they wouldn't want to try to have a redhead baby. In fact I think red is one of the most sold dyes for women. I can't remember where I read that but I do remember reading it somewhere.

I die my hair red, its extremely bright. Gotta admit its not as people say "carrot" but hey, if you want a child surely it doesnt matter? I wouldnt care if a child of mine had ginger hair. I would just be happy to have a little miracle!!

My son has red hair, and he's beautiful!
What really winds me up though, is when I say to people his hair is turning blonder, which you can blatantly see, they just say yeah right,you're just in denial your child is ginger!!!
If he had brown hair, no-one would question me over wether his hair was going blonde or not!!
Red hair is gorgeous, I had it when I was little, so not sure if DS will keep it or not (i'm brown with red highlights now) but he'll still be beautiful either way!

He, on the other hand, said he would hate for our kid to be ginger. He said its ok if its a girl but not if its a boy. I think he is worried it would get the same teasing he had growing up.

My Dad and OH's mum have ginger hair, both OH and I have a red tint to our hair and in certain lights DSs hair is strawberry blonde. I like it!

Girls get teased for it too. That was the only thing kids could find to pick on me about in school if I'd get in an argument with someone it would always be 'well you have red hair' I'm a fan of redheaded men as well.



Thanks for all the compliments about my daughter ladies! I think she's beautiful too but I'm pretty biased. I have a feeling she'll hate me for the red hair eventually. It took me ages to start liking my own.
