WTT... Maybe not officially to OH but me? Oh YES!

I had Mylo a year ago. hes turning 13months. Hes the best decision I ever made on my own.. and dont regret him for a second.

I have the implant in my arm.. had it in at 6weeks after birth.We havent used contraception in 6 years! took ages to fall with mylo.. but we wasnt trying. I was told I wouldnt ever be a mum.
OH kicked off when we found out I was 16 weeks gone with Mylo and didnt realise.. but hes a great daddy to him now.

I have hinted about another.. but not keen to be too soon or close together..
OH says its better to wait, enjoy Mylos younger years blah blah.

I dont really want one more just yet.. but I dont wanna wait another two years before the implant runs out either.
I want another home water birth but can only do that if you are low risk and 35 or under. well I am 32 this year in november.. and cos it took quite a while to get preggers before I may be cutting fine my chances of another relaxed beautiful home water birth.

Me and OH havent 'officially' decided thats definately whats happening.. but I am longing for a girl.. a little sister for Mylo.

Shall I get the implant taken out next year when hes two instead of waiting til it runs out?

..and if so what the hell do I say to OH?

I am so scared he will blow his top at me again! he demanded abortions last time! But I stood firm.
He has said sorry, he was scared etc.. but that doesnt stop me being scared of what he'll say if I said I was gonna start trying a year earlier than exected.

Hi Tsia! I remember you! We were in 2nd-3rd tri together! So great to see Mylo doing so well! I don't blame you for being broody again. I am too obviously hehe. I remember the hell that OH put you through last time. I just hope he doesn't pull that again on you. I remember how rough it was.
My best advice is to be honest with him about how you are feeling. And maybe explain the good points of having two youngsters so close in age rather than so far apart. Such as, being close in age will make them better friends as they will be into playing with the same kind of things at the same time, instead of one wanting blocks and toy cars and the other video games and real cars. Not to mention it wont feel quite so much like starting over really as it wouldn't have been that long ago anyways since you had Mylo. Oh, and having two close in age can also help them keep each other occupied which will give you more peace than chasing after a double digit (ie 10 yr old) child and trying to look after a newborn and of course the bond between the children is stronger when they are closer in age. Anyways, hope that helps for the convincing OH part.

About the birth control, if it were me, I'd go ahead and see about getting it taken out. After hormonal birth control, it doesn't always leave your system right away. When I came off the bcp I went for almost 3 months with no period as I wasn't ovulating. The doc had to induce it with progesterone pills. So there is nothing to say that you'd fall preg right away and chances are that you wouldn't anyways.

I don't blame you one bit for longing for a girl. The next baby is prolly mine and DH's last one too so we REALLY want a little girl, badly hehe. I feel the same way you do. Maybe try talking gently to OH about it explain your feelings and why you feel the way you do. Remind him that each year older past 30 that you both are the less chances of it happening are. As he ages his virility is also affected along with the quality of his swimmers. Just as the quality and number of your eggs decreases as well. I, for example cant really wait any longer as my DH is 40 and I'm 30. I've already got him taking all of the helpful vitamins and minerals to help his swimmers out.
If OH does blow up on you, then back off for a couple of months and gently try again. If he sees how important it is to you then he is likely to cave into your request. Good luck hun and I hope it goes well! Meanwhile, welcome to WTT.
