Hello ladies!! I've been a member here for quite a while but haven't been very active since my DD 11 months was born. I have 3 wonderful children; DD11, DS5, DD11 months. There's a 50/50 chance we will start trying for our final and last baby next summer. DH and I finally finished our prospective programs this past April, which we are so excited about. We're still in the transition phase from finishing college to starting our new careers. DH is starting his new job this week, hopefully. And I'm waiting to take my licensing exam to be an official registered nurse. Right now I can't work due to many hospitals wanting you to have your license first.

I'd love to get to know any other ladies!!!! Come join :)

We're also waiting for summer of 2015! May to be exact. :) We are going on a cruise to the Bahamas and that's when we'd like to start trying. I'll also be finishing up school. I'll have 2-3 online classes and I'll be officially done in August of 2015. That will be such an exciting time!!
I'm sure you're looking forward to it as well. :) It must have been really hard juggling 3 kiddos along with school for both of you!

We're planning on ttc #2 next summer once DD is 18m. I'm getting so broody again already but we really aren't ready to have another yet.

I'm an RGN, but I can't say I'm looking forward to going back to work. Lol. I've got a meeting in a couple of weeks time to discuss my return to work.

Hi spring!!!! It was very difficult especially because we got pregnant with our youngest in the middle of my nursing program. THAT in itself was crazy difficult but doable. I had a lot of support.
We're looking at July 2015 to TTC. It will be our last time. Kind of bittersweet but I feel we'll be done after that one. Sometimes you just don't feel done.

What are you going to school for? DH and I were just talking the other day about going on a family cruise next summer. We've been in school for 6 years working toward our degrees and we're finally done! Which line are you guys going on?

hi girly!! What's an RGN??? It takes forever to get started. Our youngest is only 11 months so we're (mainly I'm not ready) to start anytime soon. She'll be 2 years when we TTC.

Registered Nurse.
Good on you for continuing your training after having your youngest halfway through the course. I know a couple of girls that deferred a year after falling pregnant but they struggled so much to continue their degrees. I'm not sure I would've been able to cope to be honest.

I don't go back to work until October, I've got to be back at least 3 months before I can fall pregnant again to be eligible for maternity pay and I'd rather not have them share a birthday. I don't want DD to be too young when we introduce a 2nd baby either. I want her to be able to understand that mummy's having a baby, and mummy needs to feed the baby etc.

I understand what you mean. I'm enjoying my youngest at the moment and not having much of a desire to ttc yet.
Thank you! It was rough. Especially the first 15 weeks I was pregnant. Doing clinicals with hyperemesis is no fun! I ended up being fortunate in a way, the unfortunate part is I was hospitalized for a week due to dehydration and electrolyte imbalance, fortunate part is it was over Thanksgiving break so I didn't miss any time. I was only allowed 12% total time to miss for class and clinicals. Plus I was working as a CNA while in school and pregnant. Ugh I would never do that again. Lol

what field are in you? I'm hoping I can get my foot in the door for L&D. Its where I want to be.

Oh wow, you poor thing! I have a couple of friends who were hospitalised for hypermesis. It sounds awful!
I also worked part time during my training, in theatres. I really enjoyed that. I'm a community nurse now so I work pretty independently seeing the housebound and terminally ill. It's a fantastic job, but management sucks.

We don't have L&D nurses here, you have to train as a midwife. The conversion course is only 18m. My ultimate goal is to be a school nurse or a practice nurse in a Drs surgery. I am thinking about doing my midwifery conversion at some point though. I've got a good 40yrs before retirement, I may as well look into different roles. Lol.

Oh okay. Here you're lucky to get into a specialized field as everyone wants experience but you can't get experience without actually doing it. Lol catch 22.
What area are you living? What kind of patients do you see on a daily basis? I've thought about doing home health nursing. Where is travel to patient's homes to see them. Makes me nervous though.

That's exactly what I do. I've been doing it since I qualified. I'm in the UK, I live on the coast so we see a fair few holiday makers too. It's a very deprived area so we have a lot of drug and alcohol abuse, and obesity.

It's the same here if you want to specialise but if you interview well enough, you can get there. Last year I was offered a job as a practice nurse, a job I would've loved! But I'd just found out I was expecting. I wasn't expecting to get the job so we continued ttc. I then had to turn it down as we couldn't afford me changing jobs and giving up the maternity benefits at where I currently am. Gives me confidence that I can do it again though.

How does it work over there? Do you have to do rotations before you can specialise?

Oh wow! That's unfortunate you missed the opportunity but you got a special little one or if the experience :)
Basically here if you want to work in the emergency room, labor & delivery, operating room, etc you have to either have experience or interview well. Knowing people doesn't hurt either lol

Hi junemomma !! I was in the original "Broody and Babbling" group with you! I'm still WTT until this October. The closer I get to our TTC date, the more I'm not quite sure if I'm ready yet LOL! We will see. DH has been very supportive of whatever I choose so long as we try for one more at some point :). Nice seeing you on here again!

Hey!!!! Yes I definitely remember you :) my little one is turning 1 this month. How are you doing? I'm trying to talk DH into 1 more since we didn't get to officially "try" for Emma.
You should check out my journal. Not much to it but it's called June's WTT til 2015 or something like that lol

We are waiting till august/sept time next year to ttc for our 4th (and last)
we are married and have been together for 9years.
and our three kids are 10, 7 & 2

Hello familiar faces! :flower:

I don't know if you remember me or not junemomma09, but I was also in the Broody and Babbling 2014 thread and also had a "wonderful whoops" that caused me to need to leave the thread early. :D

And of course Girly and I were in the October Pumpkins 2013 thread together. <3
I'm really hopeful that we'll get to be bump buddies again.

We may have to wait until 2016, but I'm really hopeful for June 2015.

Hi everyone!!! Might sound crazy as my youngest is about 48hours old right now... but we will be trying for no5 around May/June next year.

5 was always our number, but now there has been talks on more than one occasion about number 6. lol

Will I ever get enough?? We have 3 daughters - 6, 2 and 11months; and a son - 48hours :)

Hoping to wait with you girls... might need some company! xxx

Congratulations on your new little boy xuxa!

We walked out of the hospital taking about #2 and DD was only 5hrs old, so you're not that crazy! Don't think we could manage 6 though.

DD is now crawling and starting to cruise, so between baby proofing the house and chasing her around I don't seem to get a spare minute to come on here anymore. I actually haven't been too broody just recently. We've been busy trying to sort our holiday, and have also been discussing with work my return and reducing my hours. It's been pretty busy which I think has kept me occupied well. At the baby group we go to, there's a tiny baby. He's 4 weeks old, he's gorgeous. But watching him and his mummy, I do love the stage DD is at now.

Hello

I was TTC this month until OH decided he wasn't ready yet and I have now realised I would rather marry first so will be next August for us x

We'll be waiting to TTC until summer of 2015 as well. We're mainly waiting to hopefully be able to purchase a larger house. We own a small 2 bed right now and it's just not big enough for any more kids. Hopefully we'll be in a financial position by that point to buy something a larger, at least a 3 bed with room to add on if necessary in the future, this will probably be our last baby but DH keeps trying to convince me to have more after #3. I'm not sure if I could handle that many though!

:) I am not sure i could ever tell myself that it would be my last baby... Not sure if it's because i love being pregnant, i love the birthing process, the newborn days, and all the days that follow!! lol

But at some point we will have to say enough is enough. wonder when that day will be. The truth is, that i always desperately want another one as soon as i give birth... a lot of it must be hormones.

Do you girls ever talk to you DH about the babies that you are wtt for?

xx
