Doc said two weeks after we can start dtd again but to use protection for six months. Hubby wants to go with what she said cos she went to school for it. But I dont wanna wait. Maybe one cycle but lol who knows when af will show up? Confused and impatient!

Sorry to hear about your mc. Don't have any advice I'm afraid but good luck xxxxx

I'm very sorry for your loss.

I had a missed miscarriage in the fall and went the medical route to have everything taken care of. I would get a second opinion because I was told it's safe to try after the first AF. Maybe your doctor has said this for a particular reason, so I would follow up with him/her.

:hugs:

 Hi my dear! :friends:

First off OMG!! I don't think that you have to wait that long. Holy crap! I agree get another opinion. I have read through a few threads on 'TTC after a loss' and I don't think they waited that long. I sure hope that you don't have to wait that long. Six months seems a little over cautious.

So sorry for what you are going through. I know the pain all to well:(

It seems that there is no general rule when it comes to TTC after a loss. Every doctor will say something different. From waiting over 6 months to trying straight away. I waited one cycle (AF took 5 weeks to show up). No one can really make the decision for you, as there are so many differing opinions. Go with your gut and what you feel is best. :flower:

I'm so sorry for your loss. As others said, I would get a second opinion just in case although 6 months seems like an awful long time to wait. Best of luck to you and hubby!

First, I am so sorry for your loss. Second, did your doctor offer a medical reason for this long wait? I had a partial-molar pregnancy which means there us a (small) threat of cancer, so I have to be monitored for six months before ttc, but even that has some wiggle room with experts saying three months is sufficient. At the very least I'd wait until you have had one period and make sure you are emotionally ready for another pregnancy.
