Hi Ladies

I thought I would start one of these wedding journals to keep all my ideas and plans over the next 2 years. Here's a bit about us:

My names Katie, me and OH have been together for 6 years now. We've been engaged for 5 we've had quite a long engagement.. We have two children together, a girl Lexie (2 years) and a boy Devlin (4 months). We've decided to set our date 2 years in advance to give ourselves time to save up and plenty of time to plan! We want a nice traditional white wedding ​

Our Budget: £3000
The Date: Saturday 7th December 2013 (Not booked yet)
The Venue: St Peters church (Not booked yet)
The Evening Party: Undecided
The Theme: Christmas/winter, colours; Red, White & silver.

This is my dream wedding dress. It's an Alfred Angelo dress from the Fairy tale collection called Snow White. It's beautiful but wayyy out of my price range. I'll be looking for a similar style though!

I know, I would LOVE that exact wedding dress but it's far too expensive. I'm considering taking a picture of it to a local dress maker to see if she can try to make one similar because I love it so much. x

This is the kind of 'look' I want for me & my bridesmaids. Me in a crisp white wedding gown and my bridesmaids in deep red dresses. As we're having a winter/christmas wedding we will all have faux fur shrugs.​

A dressmaker is a good idea but that dress is quite a popular one so try ebay or even sellmyweddingdress.com as you may be able to get a cheap one second hand. LOVE the theme too. I would have loved a xmas wedding as our anniversary is on xmas eve xxx

Thanks hun, never even thought about trying to find one second hand that's a great idea! I'll definitely be on the look out We got engaged around Christmas time so it seemed quite fitting to get married then too. x

Mind if I stalk?? I would have loved a Christmas themed wedding but getting married in the winter would be impossible as I HATE being cold and get sooo grumpy! Can't wait to see more of your plans

Course you can hun I hate being cold too but I'm willing to put up with it for my christmas wedding. Ever since I was a little girl I've dreamed of having a nice traditional christmas style wedding so I'm soo excited that it's actually happening! x

a Christmas/Winter themed wedding sounds amazing! I'm in Australia though & it's summer here in December. I've always wanted a white Christmas!

I honestly can't wait until you've had your wedding & posted pics. So I'm a stalker for the long haul. ;] a second hand dress place is a great idea! I may even look second hand to save some $$! x

If i hadnt got such a bargain i would have prob gone second hand. I mean if ya think about it you only wear it once

We got engaged at christmas time too I would love one and would have gone to town on the xmas ideas xxx

It's true, you do only wear it once and if I find 'the dress' then I'm bothered if it's new or second hand. I'm sure the spare cash will come in useful for something else!

I'm really excited about the decoration side of things. Can't wait to get stuck in buying little decorative details, I've got so many ideas in my head x
