Yikes!!!

Yikes!! I only have one week left in 2nd tri. Should I cry or should I laugh?? I'm going to book my hospital bed and 4D Scan on Monday and everything is becoming more of a reality.

Any ladies also going over in a week's time or do you prefer to be in limbo?

I'll move over in a week and few days, Feels different from making the move from 1st to 2nd tri,back then I was really eager to move over, but with 3rd tri I feel quite anxious..I guess its just because its the final stage!

I feel quite the same and to top it all off, I watched a video of a woman giving birth and started to cry because it made me so scared. Now I wonder if I should still go for antenatal classes or not. What I don't know before hand will not bother me then and I will go with the flow, but knowing all of this makes me waayy more stressed before.

I try to think of holding our girl in my arms and holdig her tiny hands and counting the tiny fingers and toes........... That helps a bit for now.

Hi...

I'm over to the 3rd tri in a few days time...I am getting very nervous too! Have sooooo much going on in our house work wise and still soooo much to get ready.

I've started gathering things for my hopstial bag, it does finally feel SO real now especially when I only have like 10 weeks left at work!! Eeeeeekkk!!!

Yes, I'm in South Africa and on private medical aid - so need to book bed in advance for medical fund - think it's just more paper work if you ask me.

We need to pack our hospital bag at 26 weeks but I will only get it ready at 28-29 weeks. When do you need to get it ready?

I haven't really set a time as such...

I printed a list off of what you need to pack and make sure you have. I'ev slowly been going down the list and picking bits up as I go. Cheap on ebay or in the supermarket etc...

I will make a concerted effort to make sure the majority is there and packed towards 30 weeks...

Pocketmonster - what do you need to get for the hospital bag? I just want to compare your list with mine. I do get a few things from hospital as well, but I always believe to be prepared for the unexpected so want to get back up items. lol I can always pass them on to one of my friends that are also pregnant if not used.

I used this list and have adapted it a little....as I want a water birth so a bikini top or a vest is on the list for me. As it will be winter I'm not sure I'll be able to get a bikini top to fit me now!!!

Thanks, the list was actually the same as mine then. However, we will not be taking snacks as we are not allowed to (silly) but have a cafeteria below in hospital so OH can get me what I need - or want lol. I want to cut my hair shoulder lenght so that it is easier to handle as my hair is quite long. I want to wash it easily and just tie it up.

Yay!!! I can't wait - I tend to move over more just to have a peek and it is more relevant to us now.

Yay - I'm moving over to third tri on Saturday..... I really can't believe how quickly the weeks are going by........... I seriously need to get my ar*e in gear and get organised..... All I have bought so far is 3 baby grows and my travel system........ I do have a list but not quite sure where to begin.....

I'm moving a day after you! Wow!

We bought the travelsystem, cot, bottles, humidifier and a few small things, but still need loads of things! Will have to work on that as well.

Yay, Someone else from SA. Which hospital are you going to? I am going to be delivering at Linmed in Benoni. I completely forgot that I have to book a bed. THanks for reminding me.

How far are you? Need to be done between 25 - 28 weeks according to the Netcare hospitals.

I'm in Centurion but will be delivering at Eugene Marais Hospital in Pretoria. Where are you at the moment? Have FB?
