Hey ladies (and gentlemen, too), I'm Jess. I'm 23 and have been NTNP/TTC for over two years now (it's a complicated and long story). I have never seen a BFP or even an evap on a pregnancy test before, but I can't WAIT til I do!

I guess I'm just looking for people my age (or anyone honestly!) that is in the same boat, and wants to chat, share stories, and support one another!

I've been a member here for over four years now, have made tons of friends but almost every single one is now pregnant, or already has one, two or three!! kids by now. I am feeling awfully lonely, as it's the same in the real world for me, here in California.

Hi Dontworry,

Im 27 and in our third year off TTC. Like you i have never had a BFP and CANNOT WAIT to see one!!!!!! :happydance:

What stage are you at now? Have you seen a fertility doctor??

I am 22 and just hit 2 and a half years trying. it's been more than that but I decided to only count the time since my hubby got back from deployment. I am like you both have never even seen a glimpse of a positive. feeling extra down this week. Two babies born and AF decide this week was a good week to show. tired of seeing so many pregnant or even baby related things seems that no matter where I look it has something to do with babies. what have you two tried so far?

Hey,

I am 24 and although I could only say I have been completely focused rather than NTNP for a year, it's actually definitely been longer than that.

I have been pregnant though and miscarried but that was sometime ago now, nearly coming to a year so not completely the same.

Thinking of you and if you want to chat, I'm here for you.x

Thanks for replying ladies!!

I have not seen a fertility doctor yet. I've only been to my gyno and that was over a year ago (I live two hours away from my doctor, so the commute is four hours each time I go!). She checked my bloods + hormones, did a pap, and everything came back clear. I had gone to see her because my periods were really irregular, and she prescribed me Metformin 500mg 3x daily to try and regulate the periods (she suggested birth control but I refused due to TTC) despite the fact that she doesn't NOT think I have PCOS (she thought that I might have insulin resistance, but I have not been back for that lab yet!). She did say to try and lose weight if I wanted, that it would only help, however I have actually gained 10lbs since that appointment (I'm a bigger girl, size 18 in US).

And ironically, the day I had my appointment I went home and got my period all on my own, and I have been regular ever since! I am NOT taking the Metformin, so I have three full bottles sitting in my bathroom at the moment. Metformin has horrid side effects and made me feel terrible, call in sick to work, etc. :( I have just bought some more OPKs to try and track ovulation (last time I did them was when I was irregular, and they didn't work, causing me to give up!), so I'm waiting for them to come! I just got off of my period so they should get here just in time.
Our plan is - try OPKs, if I can track ovulation, we'll try SMEP for a few cycles. If that doesn't work, I'll try temping (which I've never done before) for two months. At that time, we'll be requesting a referral to a specialist. My insurance doesn't cover that part so I am really hoping I'm employed elsewhere at that time, or we won't need to go that far. But we shall see!

Sorry for the essay! But that's where I'm at right now. Wish I could skip it all and see a specialist but I can't swing it right now. :(

Hope it's not much longer for us all.

We are currently on Down Regulation injections gearing up for ivf next month. All.of our investigations are normal but we just can't seem to get pregnant. Its been hard and emotionally draining but im.trying my hardest to stay positive. Desperate to have a baby though....

What about you ladies??

Wishing you all the best for the IVF next month, I really hope you get to see your BFP!

I haven't been to my Doctor again yet, although I already had a laparoscopy last year and at the time there appeared to be no issues which should cause a problem in pregnancy.

Have you had your hormone levels checked too??

Fingers crossed we all get a BFP soon!

I have not been to my doctor in awhile because I don't have any health insurance. my periods are regular I have never missed a period or even been late. I track my temps and occasionally use opks. Most of the time I just forget to pee in a cup and I get my spikes in the morning. I take vitamins daily so does hubby.

Tater91 - sounds like your doing everything right, just all about timing...

All of our investigations came back normal but we just didnt get there, very thankful for the NHS here in the UK, we get one cycle of IVF with one egg....so all of our eggs are in the one basket - pun intended!

It is heartbreaking when others around you seem to get pregnant so easily, or if they say they understand how difficult it has been for us, and they have tried for 2 months!!

I'm 23 ttc for 3 years ! I've been to my gyno had numerous tests done and blood tests... Outcome tubes are not blocked, had internal ultrasound everything fine. Clomid for 6 months. Progesterone levels were slightly low but I've been put in the category for unexplained infertility so they discharged me from gyno as there was not much more they could do :( I went to my doctors just before Xmas explaining my frustration they have referred me and my partner to a specialist hospital I'm just waiting for an apt date !!! I hope you get results soon ladies !! I know how low and frustrating it can be, I've certainly felt like they have dismissed me because of my age which is not right, ( I'm fed up of hearing "time is on your side" ).
Good luck to you all :) xxxx

hi, im just a year and a bit older than you and also 2 years in with no BFP  (had a miracle BFP with first child though)

Please go to the doctor though even if its far to travel, you need more tests doing and carrying a healthy pregnancy is much harder with diabetes , chances are the damage is already done so you need to be prepared with your options in advance to make informed decisions

Hi I am 28 and have been ttc for 2 and half years. I have just had hormone tests done and am waiting to be referred to a FS. I am getting quite frustrated! Good luck everyone and I am here to talk.

Hey there, you're not alone. I'm 24 and been TTC/NTNP for almost 3 years now. Have not been to a dr yet, I'm currently using Vitex, conceive plus and OPK's to give it a few more good tries on my own before I seek help. If I don't see a BFP by July I will schedule an appt I think :(

I'm 25, have been trying almost seven years. Two very early losses. RE couldn't help. I've got next to no chance of conceiving at this point.

Charlei, do you have plans now as to utilizing other options? Adoption or surrogate? I know if I have to go that route (which is a real possibility for me), it won't be for quite some years. :( It's hard watching everyone else get what you've always dreamed about. Having babies and getting pregnant seems to be so easy for everyone else!

Adoption and surrogacy are not options. I am strongly against the sale of babies for profit and will not have anything to do with it. Doctors and adoption agencies are just out to make a fortune on our misfortune and it disgusts me. I won't go broke and fill someone else's pocket to have what I should be able to get naturally.

NTNP/TTC for more than two and a half years now; only recently had our case submitted to a fertility unit. Wife needs to lose a little weight (only half a stone, will do it in no time), and I have a low sperm count (less than a million per ml) with severe low motility. When wife has lost weight, we're beginning ICSI which may involve taking the sperm straight from the source - still to be determined.

So sick and tired of people getting pregnant left, right and centre but trying to stay positive. Fun fun ladies and gents.

Sorry I couldn't find an edit button. Now fixed that major EFF up. :)
