I am now 26+5 days and have felts lots of movement in the last few weeks BUT I would not necessary call them kicks, where I would have to hold my belly and be like ouch!! I have lots of moving feeling in my belly, does anyone else worry that it’s not a definite kick your feeling??

Mine are the same, not painful or uncomfortable, just movements - think that's normal really - most of what we're feeling at 20 odd weeks is the baby turning rather than "kicking"
Do you know where your placenta is? Mine's anterior so know that my sensations will be less dramatic than others...

In all of my pregnancies I've only had once or twice the feeling of "ouch" when baby moves, but there's this one time in my first pg when he poked his foot out for ages you could actualy see it sticking out, in the end I grabbed it and I could feel him trying to tug it back lol so funny x x

AHHH thats so creepy but amazing at the same time!!! i think im not far ahead, but i had this very, ODD movement sensation last night where i thought a guitar string/elastic band was being plucked inside me i actually thought it was baby playing with its umbilical cord :S! ive yet to feel a 'hoof' yet, wish it would happen my OH is getting so upset waiting to feel LO bless.

My cousin said when you feel a kick its kinda like someone flicking you with their finger, and it gets harder as they get bigger..but not too painful lol - she better be right! :haha:

I think they feel like either being poked from the inside or a massive pulsating feeling.

Ah thats good, thought it was just me who couldnt feel a proper kick! My Placenta is anterior so I think might feel them less than if it was in a different position.

Mine tend to feel like being poked from the inside. Especially if it's a big kick! There's a video of my girly kicking in this thread if it helps?

Mine don't tend to hurt either, though some do make me feel a little nauseous.

mine just felt like pokes with jake. until about the start of third tri when things started to get a lot more painful. i could tell the difference between a head, foot or a hand!

Im 21 weeks, the last 2 weeks I would definitely call mine kicks. It feels like a full grown adult is jabbing me from inside the tummy... Haha. I have a posterior placenta though ? x

Mine feel like strong hiccoughs just low in my tummy instead of in my chest lol xx

with my son, it was more of like popcorn popping in my belly. For a while i thought it was gas bubbles. ha.

But he was more of a mover, than kicker.

This pregnancy... i have more of a kicker.

to me the kicks feel like a muscle twitching inside. it doesn't hurt but it is an odd kind of feeling. i have got one anterior and one posterior placenta and there is definately a big difference in what i can feel with each baby. x

I've felt my little boy kick since about 16 weeks, and they are getting more frequent and stronger. Feels like a poke or a pulse like sensation or even a muscle twitch.
I'm not sure what you would call the position of my placenta, but they told me it was in the perfect spot for 3d ultrasound and by my spine, so maybe thats why I feel them?
Little man must be like his daddy and moving his legs alot! (my husband ran cross country, and track for years)

I've just been feeling her for a few weeks now but i am getting pretty good at picking them out since i know what to look for, at first i also didnt know if it was gas or not, but now i definitely know its her. It feels more like either a "pulse" sensation in one spot or another, sometimes there are a few in a row, OR sort of like a bubble popped in there. It's normally light (only one has been hard enough to make me jump a little in my seat) and moves from around my belly button to either side or lower below the belly button. Such a cool feeling though now i miss it when I dont feel her!

I've just started to feel this one move around, mostly the barrel roll feeling, and last night was the FIRST TIME that I've felt definite little "kicks" or as I thought they felt like two fingers poking back and forth! LOL This is baby #2, but with my DD I didn't have any kicks that stopped me in my tracks, but the only painful thing I remember is around 36 weeks she went head down and decided to brace her little feet against my rib cage! Wowza! That was the only "painful" thing I remember though!

for me. movements and shuffles are flutters, kicks are like pokes that are inside me and somersaults make me sick lol

I've had a pulsating feeling - but I am very early. It felt like a big pulse on my left side - probably wind :)

As others have said kicks to me feel like a poke, or a bubble is being popped right next to my belly. Now rolls and somersaults are some weird feelings. Seeing your belly move just in that one little spot when they kick is so neat.

I can't tell if it is bowel movements or baby movements lol.....i am in the same boat!

With me at first it was like a butterfly trapped in a jar. But now it's like... if you held a wriggling mouse with your hands closed over it, iykwim! Slowly progressing to a wriggling guinea pig! Strange comparisons maybe, but makes sense to me :haha:.
xx
