So pregnancy alone has handed me a lovely plump 'roid...not had constipation probs, just the sheer fact I'm preggo and my butthole decides to give out...

anyhow, cudos to you ladies who have had these things before, they suck!:dohh: Mine was pretty big and bad yesterday and the day before...was smothering it in Soov roid cream and having to ice it for some relief. It didn't get any better over last night either...but then...

I am so much better today!!:happydance: I am on maternity leave and studying so I thought "right, I'm tackling this roid today!" Went to chemist and bought some Rectinol, 100% Witch Hazel solution, and some make up pads. here's what I did:

*Lying on left side all day: not once sat on my butt except in car for chemist
*Rectinol directly on roid
*pushed it back in when I could
*soaked face pads in witch hazel and put into fridge- then, put the cooled pads directly against the nasty roid and left for an hr or so
*alternated with ice pack

Within a few hours my roid has shrivelled, it's unbelievable. It's still there, but I am positive the witch hazel has done it wonders and I might even be able to take a dump tomorrow!:haha: Not only has it shrivelled it right up, but it was soooo nice and relieving against my poor butthole!

Anyway try it if you can!!

thanks for the tip! i havnt gotten any (yet!!!) but i have a DEEP dark fear of them... anytime my bum gets sore which it has been randomly i get H to check the area!!

congrads on kicking its ass :haha:

i am finding witch hazel and my ice pack AMAZING too!! :) I am also using lavender oil with a dab of sweet almond oil for inbetween times... aka when i can't keep a witchhazel pad between my buttcheeks (at work) in fear its gunna fall out somewhere! :haha: i have never seen that ointment u talk about and the anusol i got for my little roid does flip all!

Luckily I haven't had any hemorrhoids (yet!) but witch hazel is AMAZING for soooo many things. It helps with acne, warts, and pretty much any skin problem. Not to mention it's gentle enough to use in even the most sensitive of places. I always keep a bottle of it on hand :)

Wow! The tips you pick up on BnB eh?? Haven't had any this time around but my last pregnancy was 'roid hell. The glamours of pregnancy!!

I'll be grabbing myself some witch hazel next time I go shopping.
