1 month old and sleep

My two month old has never been stellar with naps. She'll go down easily but takes cat naps (with an occasional long, deep one as well). However, she is a dream boat at night (9 hours in one stretch, nurse, and then 3 more hours), so it's a fair trade off, IMO :)

No idea, but around 6 weeks he started coming out of the newborn haze and began paying attention to his surroundings and being awake more.

My 5 week old seems to be constantly asleep. I actually wonder if it's normal. She wakes once in the night, and seems to sleep most of the day as well. She is starting to have more awake time but I really don't remember my older two sleeping this much. After a short while awake she tends to start fussing so I pick her up, jiggle her around a bit and she falls asleep again.

My six week old is only just starting to have more awake time during the day. And also realising that it's OK to be awake and not eating! He's healthy and happy and gaining weight so I haven't been concerned about how much he sleeps.

Mine is awake half the day it seems (5 weeks old today). She'll sleep for 2-3 hours straight after about 7:30-8 (starting now I think too) and after her 11-12am feed, but can be quite awake or fussy in the afternoon and evening. She loves to look around and wiggle when she's not being fed. Makes for a cute but annoying 3am feed because she likes to wiggle on me and I want to sleep, lol.

My DD at 1 month slept for 2 hours the most at a time and as little as 30 minutes most of the times. It was exhausting. Now she's 2 months she sleeps 3-4 hours at night, feeds and then sleeps 2-3 hours more after that.

Reason I ask it seems like my little one is asleep most of the time. She sleeps 5-7 hours straight at night, fees, then goes down for another couple of hours. Yesterday she seemed to have more awake time but today she's been waking to eat every 3 hours and went back to sleep. I'm really starting worry if this is normal.

It's normal! Some babies take longer to get out of the newborn haze than others. I'd say enjoy it for now because you have a chance to get things done. Soon you'll be wanting her to sleep and she'll have other ideas!!

I agree with Beanonorder, even baby is different but to say that a 1 month old is sleeping most of the day is not an issue. Give it time and you will get more awake time very soon. Enjoy this time!
