10 weeks old.....

Just wondering for any of you that have babies of a similar age or can remember back to when they were, how many oz of milk are they taking?

Ruby takes 6oz and has 5 bottles per day (maybe on 1-2 of those bottles she will only take 4 or 5oz though)

Hiya Chloe is 10 weeks old on Sunday. She is taking about 5 oz every 4 hours apart from in the night she goes 8 hours. Sometimes its only 4 oz she takes but very rarely more than 5. Took her to get weighed today and she is 11lb exactly, she was 6lb 6oz when she was born.

4-5 oz I believe, Hannah was never a big milk drinker though

My son is 9 months and drinks 4-5 oz every 3-4 hours (even during the night).

I had to change my wee one to the hungry baby sma (blue one). She was sometimes drinking her bottle then 1.5 hrs -2 hrs screaming for more (espeically at night). She now takes a bottle every 3-5 hrs(if shes sleeping we just let her sleep until shes ready. We make 7 oz bottles and she drinks 4-7 oz just depending on how she feels.

I once heard somewhere that if your child was consuming 40oz of milk in a day then it might be best to switch to baby food? Idk if there's any truth to that though.

That is true, but not when they are only 2mo That's a sign you can watch for after 4mo though to start solids.

Is he spitting up alot of that? Does seem like quite a bit for a baby soyoung, but all babies are different. My friends son was having 8oz from 1mo and eating every 4hrs or so too...and he's 6now and has always been a tiny thing

He spits up a fair bit yeh, but if i try giving him less he cries until he gets the rest. I took him to the doc today because hes been having runny poo, spitting up loads and wriggling/crying with feeds .
He suggested diluting the milk coz it may be too thick for his stomach. He said only to give him 4 scoops with 8oz! which seemed a bit too less to me so i've started giving him 6 scoops with 8oz instead. He has gaviscon with every feed too.

I'm running out of ideas now coz hes having so much, the Dr Brown bottles I use only hold 8oz and he drains the bottle most of the time! I think I'll definately be starting him on baby rice/porridge when hes 4 months!
