Noah is 11 weeks now and breastfeeding has been going great, though recently ive noticed he starts fussing at the breast quite often. i try winding him and he will bring up wind then i put him back to breast, he will be ok for a few seconds then start fussing again. sometimes he cries on and off and comes on and off the boob - kinda bobbing about.

it is making me worry my supply may be dwindling  he still gets lots of wet and dirty nappies, but hes still sleeping loads, and now this fussiness.

any ideas?

i try keep him on but after a while the bobbing n coming on n off n crying i just wind him some more and settle him. x

Hi sweetie, do you have a fast/slow let down? Any other issues you've noticed? Are you feeding on demand? I'm sure your supply is fine. He might be getting a bit distracted as he can notice more things now. Just keep offering the breast regularly and gently - I'm sure you will be fine xxx

to be honest not sure on let down, I would say more fast then slow, but its slower than it use to be. Yes I feed on demand too. . he feeds often and for good amount of time too, its just the fussing im worried about, also noticed it tends to be on one breast more than the other x

This may sound odd, but my LO experienced the same thing. We took her to a pediatric chiropractor. As it turned out one side of her jaw was slightly misaligned. This was why she would easily take one breast but fuss at the other.

But as a pp said he is also becoming more aware of the world. Maybe try a dark room with very few distractions.
