11weeks+2 scan.. why is my baby upside down?

Hi everyone!

This may seem really silly.. but in all the ultrasound pictures I've seen, the baby is always facing up, so what's up with my baby? I'm worrying about it even though my doc said everything is normal and baby measured 11weeks+3 so right on target almost.. but why is it that my baby scan is the complete opposite of everyone else? Is something wrong?

Just wondering lol. I would love to see your first tri scans if you have them! They are always so interesting.

It's just floating around in amniotic fluid, so it's normal for it to be changing positions.

He/she must be having fun bouncing about in there! I'm sure it's nothing to worry about, babies change position all the time

They roll around. I got to witness mine doing so the last scan.

OHh, that is so cool kmac! I can't wait till my 15week scan.. my baby was lazy, I only saw him kick like once.. otherwise it was pretty still! Gives me some relief that someone else has seen this also.

They move around so much in the amniotic fluid. At my 20 week scan my girl had her head in my pelvis and her body curved round at an awkward angle! So much that I had to go back for the skull measurements a week later. By that time she had moved into a more respectable position lol.
At my 12 week scan I think baby was asleep with her back to us.

Mine was upside down, sideward on and at one point flashing it's legs and backside!!! Xx

Yep totally normal mine son was like thugs at 12weeks got up moved around and he did too!

Oh my gosh, this just made me giggle! I've seen soooo many sono pics over the years but never an upside down baby, I LOVE IT! So cute

my ultrasound was upside down with number one then she turned over and the next photo on my sheet was the right way up lol!

They are all over the place but usually the sonographer turns the image so it is tge 'right way up' ... absolutely nothing to worry about! Great scan pic

Hahaah seriouslyyy I've become a worry freak! I can't wait till my 14week scan next Friday
