Just curious but what was everyone elses childrens height and weight around 16 months?? My little man had a check up today and his doctor pretty much called him fat and told me I need to cut back on what he eats and on his milk and juice. He's 34in tall and weighed right at 31lbs. Mind you his daddy is 6'5" and I'm 5'10" he is not going to be a small child. His doctor said he weighs what an average 3yr old weighs. As hes telling me all of this I'm looking at my child thinking are you crazy?! Theres hardly any fat on him! So I was just curious what everyone elses children weight was around that point. It just irks me :growlmad:

Wow, I'd probably try to find a new pediatrician if mine told me that.

Josalyn is about 27 lbs and 30 inches.

My lo is 12kg and about 76 cm tall I think.

16 mos = 28 lbs, 34"
Length = above percentile 95
Weight = between percentile 75 and 90

He is a big boy.... solidly built, but in porportion.

Thorrin is pretty average (50%ile). Was about 31" and 24 lbs. daddy is 5'7" and I'm 5'6"

80cm/31.5 inches
11.1kg/24lb7oz

Which is 50th %ile for height and just under 75th %ile for weight.

Sophie is about 73.5cm and 10.8kg. Shorty!

Thomas was 76.5cm and 11.36kg at almost 16 months.

Both of mine started short and chubby but now Thomas is above average for height.

Your son sounds well proportioned to me, he's tall! He's just under 99th for length and just over it to weight in my well child book. Sounds fine.

Sophie is 9th for length and 80th for weight on a good day.

Mine was 22lb and around 76 cm I think.

My LO is just 16 months and is 83 or 84cm (the nurse flubbed it and he got upset the second time and crunched himself up) and 11.42kg. He was weighed and measured about a week and a half ago. I think that's about 91st for length and 75th for weight or something like that. He's tall and slim, taking after me and OH. I'm 5'9 and OH is 6'1.

I can't remember offhand what Avery's stats were at 16 months. But we just had our 3 year old checkup and has issues because Avery's weight is in the 90th percentile as well as her height.

The pediatrician went on and on about her weight even though it's in perfect proportion to her height. I think it's a problem that some pediatricians get freaked out whenever a child's weight is in the 90th percentile even if it's appropriate to their height.

My kids are ridiculously tiny compared to most, so at 16 months my oldest was about 30 inches and 18.5 lbs.

I'm sorry your pedi said that! I'd prob be finding a new doctor....

My daughter's always been a peanut. At her 15 month appt, she was 18.5 lbs and 29.5" tall. I think that was around 5% for weight and 10% for height.

A 30 pound three year old? That sounds kinda petite to me. My child is 25 pounds and 33 inches at 13 months.

30lbs is about average for a 2.5 year old boy, and is about 30th or so percentile for a 3 year old boy. Its just under 50th percentile for a 3 year old girl.

My son was 31lbs at his 2 year check so it does SOUND small, but it's not really I suppose.
