So I am a little freaked as this has never happened with any of my pregnancies. I just went to go use the bathroom and I wiped and saw a dot of blood, kind of looked like a little blood clot. I wiped after that and there was nothing. My first mind when seeing the blood was to go the hospital, but I just don't know. I am scared.

When I was 16 weeks, on 3 separate days (spaced apart that week) I found literally A spot of brown blood in my underwear and nothing when I wiped. I told my MD about it at my 18 week check-up. He said I should have come in. I was like "Oh. It was so little I didn't think it was a big deal." So they did an exam to check my cervix, reported it looked good and there was no evidence of any blood....

So, I would make an appt with your MD tomorrow to get a check-up. I know its hard but try not to worry - stress hormones aren't good for baby.

I am definitely going to do this first thing in the morning. I just hope I will get sleep tonight. Thank you for responding.

dont worry too much all will be well. at least its not flow of blood..
sometimes having sex causes that.

Hi,

Had you had sex earlier in the day? I had a teeny spot of red blood on toilet paper an Saturday after sex. I was woried but didn't go in bcause that was all it was and Baby was happily kicking around in there. I told my Dr at my apt on Monday. She said that it was just the vagina being more sensitive. She said come in if it's red flow like a period, but also if you're finding ourself stressed out about it. She'd rather I come in and she reassure me than me be all worked up about it.

So I say, just get it looked at if you're worried, if only for reassurance...

I had some bleeding last week, and I was told that bleeding is never an okay thing to just "wait on" and to go to the ER if possible. They said the same thing to me while I was there.

I was fine, Dot is fine, but I felt much better to go and have it checked.

A tiny spot of blood is within normal. If it continues you should contact your doctor, but chances are it is just a capillary that broke from pressure, nothing to worry about.
Hugs and take care!

I would try not to worry unless you are in pain or otherwise feeling unwell. Something that tiny could have come from anywhere. When you have bleeding that you need to be concerned about, you'll know it because there's usually a lot of it. I had some spotting at 16 weeks as well (I also had a heavy bleed at 10 weeks) and all was fine. I did go for a scan after the heavy bleeding (it was like blood gushing out of me though), but I didn't even tell my midwife about the later spotting because it didn't seem unusual or abnormal. If it gets heavier, I'd give your OB or midwife a call and ask them what they would advise you to do, but I'd avoid the hospital if you can unless they send you there. If you've had no more since then, it's probably just a little irritation from your cervix and it would probably be worse to spend a day in the ER surrounded by lots of sick people than it would be just to rest at home.

Hiya

This is baby number 5 for me also, I had bleed (like a middle of a period bleed) when I turned 17 weeks, I went to the hospital, got checked out, and everything was fine.
Hope you are OK :hugs: xx

Did you call or see your doctor hon? I would at least call.

I did call this morning and was told that if there was no more bleeding and that if I was cramping, that it was normal and she would let my Dr. know. Also the nurse said that i should keep an eye on it. So I am going to do just that.
