My son just turned 11 months, so next is his first birthday!!! I have no idea what to get him for a present.... what do you buy the kid with too many toys?? And good lord I don't believe how much money im spending on a party!!! Lmao.....:haha:

For my daughters 1st we just bought things she needed like clothes and her first pair of shoes as she was walking. My son is 1 next month and we will be doing the same. He is walking great too so he will get his Clark's shoes (so expensive but worth it!) and we will be taking both kids to the zoo. Xx

My wee one is 8.5 months and I have already started buying her a few things. We aren't having a "party" as such, we are going to have a gathering in the house with family and friends.

We bought her a dish set. I know its a lame present but I had one when I was younger, as did my OH. I loved getting to use it on special occasions so I will be nice for her to have one too.

I have got her a few outfits -just leggings and tops that I would have needed to buy anyway, but it bulks out the parcels a bit!

I also have bought her a few books.

Think I'm also going to get her first pair of shoes. She will almost definitely be walking by then, unfortunately I think we will struggle to get walking shoes small enough -she's still in 0-3 socks and pram shoes, lol!

She's getting a slide from my parents, a trampoline from my grandpa, a ball pit from my sister, so I really don't know what to get her as her main present! All the fun ideas are gone!

We got DS a toot toot garage and cars, chunky crayons, books, building blocks, pyramid stacker and a doll. He loves the doll, all his books and the garage. We also found a wooden kitchen on gumtree this week for £10 so got him that as he loves the ones at IKEA and he really loves it, so cute watching him stir imaginary food in the pans lol.

Loeylo where did you get the dish set? I've been looking for a nice one for DS for ages. Think I'd like a Beatrix potter one or the tiger who came to tea as DS is obsessed with the tiger lol.

We got ours from tk Maxx, its a royal doulton one. I'm a bit gutted as I didn't realise it is melamine, I really wanted china (ridiculous for a baby I know but mines was china and still exists!) they have Beatrix potter ones on amazon! I was thinking Beatrix potter too, I had loads of Beatrix potter things as a kid. I know mothercare do gorgeous Little Nutbrown Hare ones, I have bought her the book and she already has a teddy so I might buy that too as her "keeping" set and just use the melamine one day-to-day. Our bowls and plates aren't toddler sized anyway!

Dd#2 turns 1 on the 28th of this month... getting her one of those fisher price push corn popper things and a couple pairs of shoes since she has started walking. Not too fussed really.

My little boy got a scuttle bug, a trike, a doll pram and doll, personalised teddy and a few other bits including car seat. We also did a cake smash for him. We didn't have a party just the zoo as well as a bbq
