Hi Ladies,

So after three losses in ten months, 2+ years of TTC#2 with the same guy, an HSG that shows everything is perfect, and CD3 bloods that were right where they should be.... the doctor finally performed more tests!

Well the cardiolipin iGg test came back HIGH... almost double the "accepted" norm. And from what I've read - it can cause tiny blood clots between the Mom and the fetus... preventing blood flow.

But the lupus test is negative. So the doctor has recommended that I go see a hematologist! Scares the crap out of me really. But I recently found out that my Mom had to give herself shots of heparin for her ENTIRE pregnancy with me! She passed away in 2010 so I had to discreetly have my Aunt ask my Grandmother (very few ppl know we are TTC!). Well anyway- that gave me reason to believe that she has the same or something very similar as me!

Has anyone else tested positive for some sort of blood clotting? Are you still TTC? And what did the doctors say?

Hey, hope the appointment went well, sorry I can't be much help other than :hugs:

You may be able to request your mum's medical records though I have no idea how to go about it. It may be helpful?

Thanks for the reply. I'm currently in the waiting room waiting to see the doctor. Hoping he has a resolution and QUICK!

Thanks for the reply. Yeah I'm not even sure where is start with that. Hoping they don't need them :)

I hope things went well for you in the appointment.

I have a slight blood clotting issue that got caught in the last round of genetic tests I had done. It was relatively minor tho, so the doc told me to take baby aspirin and try a round of daily heparin shots one month. The heparin didn't work for me, but there are tons of success stories out there where it did!

The doctor was a fool. He didn't know a thing about obstetrics. He had to call my FS to talk about what a chemical pregnancy is. He said my three losses didn't indicate anything. He also said elevated levels of anticardiolipin iGg is nothing to fuss about.

What he didn't bother to mention was that I tested positive for homozygous MTHFR c677t ... But my FS never bothered to mention that either!

So I guess we'll see what happens next!!

I'm sorry things didn't go well :(

Will your insurance let you choose a different doctor to go to?

Yes I believe I can go to anyone in the network. I'm going to call FS and see if I can meet with him this week instead of next week so I can clear my head!

Like Crystal, I also have MTHFR mutations and am a risk for clotting.

Thanks Popchick... I've been sick - despite no fever on a traditional thermometer - I can't say for sure that the sickness isn't playing a part in the higher temps!
