1st period after late miscarriage

I had major ovary pains about 10 days ago went to doctors and was so sore when she was poking my belly, sex was also extremely painful during and after. She prescribed a strong antibiotic for a womb infection, then about 3 days later I got the feeling I was ovulating with ewcm, well yesterday af has arrived and it's horrific!

I'm bleeding bright red and really heavy, changing my night time pads every couple of hours and could feel it all night too! I hope not all mine are like this! But does this mean I'm now ovulating so once it's all stopped we can start trying again? x
