Well the time has finally come for our first round of clomid and IUI.
Ive scheduled all of our appointments -- HSG this friday, then my ultrasound on CD14. CD16 is scheduled for 'wash and go' , just in case things go well, but im finding it hard to be positive that day 14 WILL go well, and not overly well.
has anyone else had that problem?
our doctor has made it clear that due to our age, he refuses to go forward with more than 2 19mm follicles spotted day 14.
i flip flop hourly, being so confident my medication will work, and then being worried it will work too well and ill have to cancel the cycle.
im nervous about my Xray this week but have decided to just let what needs to happen happen. Im also finding myself getting worried that that Xray will not go well and that things will get flipped upside down again.
I think i have a good grasp of all of this stuff, my husband is learning and anyone that we know who has been told is just confused as hell. Pretty tough to talk or explain about it when they ask.
any other folks with PCOS have decent chances with first timer 100mg clomid?
i was surprised the doctor stuck me on the higher dose for a a first try, at first i was excited "oh this is going to work!" and now im worried that it is TOO much, and that ill have to cancel the cycle to try a lower dose next time.
A lot of this has to do with me being an eternal worrier-- which doesn't help the case. My specialist could tell i was high strung over all of this at our first meeting, told me to throw my thermometer away and let science take of things. My husband laughed and i did crack a smile. it was probably the first time i had laughed and meant it over this whole situation.
So, for the next 11.5 days i shall worry, while trying tonot worry that my body responds will tot he clomid, but not too well.... ugh.
i still think i may pick up that thermometer in a few days, just to see if any temperatures change before i go in for an appointment. while BBT'ing, ive never ovulated, so i have no idea at all how my temps will actually look when i do ovulate.
