Anybody else trying to get through the 1st trimester on progesterone supplements?

I'm 4w2d today and had some brown spotting at 3w4d and 4w0d. Progesterone has got me through 4 successful pregnancies but it's also masked mmc symptoms in 2 more. Until I have my first scan to confirm that all's okay I'll be a wreck.

I'm symptom spotting like mad, but I'm also aware that the progesterone is causing most of them. The only thing I'm sure of is that with my mmc I didn't have any ms, so I'm waiting impatiently for that to begin.

Anybody else in the same boat?

I am taking progesterone this pregnancy. I had some spotting so my doctor did an ultrasound to check and everything looked fine. (Baby measured 6 weeks and that was this past Friday) I believe the progesterone is also giving me some tummy troubles but she still wants me to continue. She never even mentioned the progesterone as a possible cause for the spotting. I hope it helps keep this pregnancy but if I'm being honest I am not optimistic. Once the spotting started my whole mentality changed and now I feel like I'm doomed.

I'm glad your scan showed that all was well with your little one, but I'm sorry that it didn't help you to feel more positive about this pregnancy.

I've had miscarriages that started with spotting, but I've also had successful pregnancies with strong, healthy babies where I've bled a lot for weeks. Seeing a healthy baby on your scan means you have an excellent chance of getting through this.

Hang in there!

dairy - I hope the bleeding stops soon and everything is ok, I'm sorry you're having such a worrying time, hopefully this will be the last bleed :hugs:

nessaw - I'm on the response trial for a new version of g-csf for RMC

amanda - I hope the spotting stops soon and everything is ok. It's a good sign to see a heartbeat at 6 weeks but I know it's not reassuring after RMC :hugs:

ivv - I hope the spotting stops, having mmc's definitely makes you paranoid afterwards - I know I watch my symptoms like a hawk and worry so much. Hope the time passes quickly until your scan. Mine's this week :hugs:

mrs r - I can't stop sneezing either - I think pregnancy may make hayfever worse?
