I might be pregnant again...my daughter is only 2 months old. So long story short, it took my dh and I over 4 years to get pregnant & technically 5 yrs of ntnp. I had her via csection due to IUGR and breech position. My Nurse recommends no BC. We got a little carried away and didn't use any protection a couple of days ago. I know I know, please no rude comments. If I am, my dh and I agree it will just be a blessing because we haven't been careful over 9 yrs and just now have our baby girl. I'm just concerned if I am- my csections will be less than a year apart. I've heard it is very dangerous. Has anyone else fallen pregnant just after having a csection? How was your pregnancy? TIA

I know of a few friends who have had two babies in a year and at least two of them has a section for their first, one had VBAC second and the other another section. It isn't ideal as your still healing, but it's not unheard of.

I'm not 100% as they say ideally to wait 18 months but I've read about ladies on here having then close together. You'd definitely need to speak to a dr about it.

Although just because you've had a section doesn't mean you'd need another and could try for vbac?

I had an ovarian torsion when I was at the end of my 7th month and had a c-section a month later. I was told of course things could go wrong but it had to be done because I was not going to be able to push from getting cut open across my tummy from my twisted ovary. It was a rough recovery but it went well.

Hi,
I had a section in February this year, it us 2 years to fall pregnant with our son, so not as long as you, I was induced with him at 36+4 because he also had IUGR I ended up having a EMCS because he got distressed.
We wanted kids close in age. and when he was 2 weeks old we said when he turned 3 months we'd start trying again as long as we had got the ok from my doctor, which we did.
neither of us expected to fall pregnant as quickly as I did.
i am due on our son's first birthday.
If you are pregnant you will be classed as high risk because of your last baby having IUGR, you had a section and because you fell pregnant pretty quick after.
as far as i am aware they won't let you go into labour naturally so you'd have to have another section, that i'll hoping to get confirmed on the 28th when i see a consultant.
you should get an extra scan in the 3rd due to your last baby having IUGR, that i should also get confirmed on the 28th.
i will let you know for sure about that when i find out, i don't really want to give out the wrong info.

I had two c sections 13 months apart and everything was fine!! Didn't even get any rude comments!!
