2 days left & Dr says no signs of labour anytime soon..

Went to my 40 week appt today.. Dr checked me said cervix is soft but still closed. Couldn't do the sweep due to that.. Said he'll see me in a week if I haven't had LO by then..

Getting so impatient, I just want my little Miss here.

The average gestational delivery date is 41w3d.

But I've had friends be told they weren't going anytime soon and went that night. On the flip side, my mother was 4cm dilated with me for 3 weeks and still went 8 days over.

I had no signs of labour. The morning of 40+2 contractions started out of the blue and she was born 7 hours later. Good luck, hope it happens soon!

With my DS I was told I wasn't going into labour any time soon, I had a cervix check and was closed, high, had and basically locked up tight . No contractions, plug loss or anything. An hour later I was in labour, 5 hours later he was born. With my DD1 I had possible signs she was on her way; contractions, dilated to 3cm, lost my plug. But she hung out for 4 more weeks! Don't give up hope, things can change so quickly and although doctors read the signs they don't always get it right.
