Hi all, looking for advice!
My 2 month old has an infection in her toe caused by her toenail which has grown into the skin since birth.
The doctor prescribed her antibiotics today with a syringe but she HATES the taste (going by her facial expression) and sicked it all up with lots of breastmilk first time I gave it to her.
I tried again but the second she tasted it in her mouth she immediately started dry gagging and spitting it out.
What do I do!?!?!

First time I've posted on this site with no replies :(. If anyone was wondering I managed to change my baby's meds to one that tasted marginally better. I gave it to her with a really skinny syringe (a 1ml one) and put it in her mouth a TINY bit at a time, aiming at her cheek at the back of her mouth, avoiding her tongue. Hope that helps someone in the future x

Mm the best way I have found with my 2 , both hate medicine of any kind is a syringe into the cheek ( so they can't spit it out ) cruel to be kind . It's done and over with quickly .
It's distressing at the time but your doing it for her own good
