2 weeks old, reduced feeds? Advice please

Posted in baby club too but lacking responce, hoping here gets a better response.

My LG is 2 weeks and 2 days. Yesterday i started making her 4oz bottles up because she was draining her 3oz bottles and wanting a little more and I was having to top her up with the ready made stuff I bought in for in hospital. This morning, her first feed of the day she took almost all of the 4oz, that was at 8am. Then her next feed, just after 12pm she only took 2oz. Normally she can go up to 6 hours but she had spent quite a bit of the morning awake as we had a visitor and she was held a fair bit rather than been in her carrycot asleep. Her next feed just now (just after 4pm) she's only had 2oz again. Normally we wind after 1-2oz because if she doesn't wind she gives you the milk back! But then she will normally carry on and take at least 3oz in total. Her last 2 feeds she just hasn't really been bothered carrying on with the feed so I have just put her in the carrycot to sleep. Does this sound normal/ok?? She has spent a bit of time in a bouncy chair today too which she wouldn't normally have done. Could these changes have impacted maybe?

Never mind. Her last feed was 3.5oz at 8.45pm. Guess I have to follow her lead.

You'll find she won't always have the same at each feed, they sometimes decide they just want a snack. Try not to worry!

i wouldnt worry if its only for 1 day or so hun. But if it does concern you, try holding her away from your body when you are feeding her so its not like she is getting a cuddle. I had to do this with my son as he would just go back to sleep after about 10ml instead of drinking more.

if shes like that for a few days or more id just ask the health visitor for advice incase she starts dropping weight xxx
