Just going to keep this short & sweet, my baby girl was born 19 days ago at 23+2, it's been discovered that she has a malrotation of the bowel. We are waiting for a transfer to Kings College Hospital in London, she will need surgery. I'm terrified as she is so tiny (1lb 3oz at birth).

Does anyone have any advice for me or details about how they do surgery so young? We are not getting any information until we get to Kings - we have been waiting 4 days now for a transfer.

Thanks in advance x

I don't have any experience with a 23 weeker but just wanted to send you my best wishes. I'm on a Facebook group called parents of premature babies which has a large number of members that might be able to provide some info for you as I find the bnb page is pretty slow to get responses. Good luck to you and bub :)

Thank you,I will check out the Facebook page xx

I have no experience either but just wanted to send you huge hugs and wish you lots of luck xx

I hope you've had the surgery now and it went well x
