In late Sept and early October, I took 50mg of Clomid for 2 cycles, because I am having spotting for a week before AF and a short luteal phase on top of it. For those 2 cycles, I had a 27-28 day cycle and 10 day LP, along with adequate progesterone at the 7dpo draw.
This cycle, I again took 50mg, I ovulated between cd15-17 (later than previously on Clomid), started spotting on cd20 and AF just arrived on day 25--so only a 24 day cycle. Even off Clomid, I've never had a 24 day cycle.
I did get a positive ovulation strip and my temp did rise so I know I ovulated.
With such a short cycle, do you think that my progesterone just wasn't high enough? Do I need to call my doc and ask her to up the dose? I thought things were headed in the right direction- and now this!
