so iv been trying to get me and OH's place sorted, or should i say LACK of me and OH's place. homefinder is a joke. so im thinkin about going private as i do know of alot of privates taking housing benifits.. only issue being the bond. my cousin got a social fund loan that covered the bond when she moved last year but you have to have been claiming your benifits for 28 weeks.. which i had untill 2 weeks ago when i had to cancel my claim to claim on OH's as a joint claim (which STILL isnt sorted) anyway im just wondering if because either way i have been claiming some sort of benifit over that period.. could i still get the loan?
i know OH could get it but id like to avoid it.. hes just so useless when it comes to things like this.. and if we get the loan theres a good chance he will see it as 'his' money which all in all could come bk and bite me in the arse :) i say this because it will be me sorting the housing out because he is in college 5 days a week so all hell will break loose if he doesnt agree the slightest bit with any decisions lol id rather sort it myself if i can basically.. so while its not the end of the world if i cant, its just a querie really im wonderin if any1 has any ideas?
im waiting on some priority in housing too but the housing office are a joke and there is no garuntee of a place at the end so if any1 else has any OTHER ideas?? they would be great too :haha:
thankss :) :flower:

yes you can still get it they allow something like a 2week gap where you havent been claiming. I believe there is also a loan for people moving into private accom for the deposit and 1st months rent but it has to be paid back this is to get people off the housing list ask at the jobcentre about it might be helpfull
