28wk mw appt

so went this morning to mw for my 28wk appt, heard heartbeat and had bloods taken, also had a good moan about all my aches and pains....... so when it came to measuring me she was a bit shocked, supposed to be measuring 28wk but im measuring 33wks, got to go for a scan tomoro to check babys weight and my fluid, i had polyhydramnious with my last baby and more then likely this is why im measuring so big, so will know more tomoro.

What's polyhydramnious? Sorry if that's a dense question!
I had my app yesterday, I measured 29 weeks so I'm guessing all is ok

lol sorry didnt realise i didnt explain very well, polyhydramnious is excess fluid.

doodlepants- your supposed to measure what week you are in cm's, so if your 28wks you should measure 28cm, but they allow 2cm either way for growth spurts but they sometimes take it further if your measuring different for a couple of appointments, yours shouldnt be anything to worry about tho.xx

hi hope your scan goes well ....
i am 28 weeks as well and my scan yeasterday shows i have got polyhydramnios i never had it with my other 5 babys so i am a little worried about it..i have got 26cm of fluild so a little over what they like,, got a scan for 2 weeks time..

well had my scan today, and not only do i have polyhydramnious (excess fluid) i also have a 'big' baby, i have to be greedy and have both lol, im 28+5 but baby is measuring at 33wks and also 3lb5 already, they dont know what caused her to grow so much so i have to go back to hosp tomoro for a gluecose test, the one for gestational diabetes, after that they will know more, it looks like my midwife led unit birth is slowly going out of the window.

was nice to see my 'elephant' again though, mws words not mine lol.xx

I'm in the same boat you are. I just took my glucose test a 1 1/2 weeks ago and haven't heard back from them (no news is generally good news). I went for an ultrasound yesterday I'm 29 wks, scan said baby measured 32wks and LO weighed 3lbs 12oz.

However my ticker says at 29 wks the baby should weigh 3lbs...so I'm confused as to what's normal or a "big baby"
