2nd / 3rd / 4th plus baby weights?

Hello ladies,

I was just wondering really how much bigger or smaller your second / third / fourth etc was to your first? I know a lot affects it for example what gestation they were born, whether they are a boy or girl etc etcl but I thought it would be interesting to see.
My DD was born at exactly 38weeks and weighed 6Ib 10oz. I heard that babies gain around half a pound a week at this stage and your second is generally bigger anyway?

Anyway enough about me, hopefully I can update you in a couple of weeks, tell me about your gorgeous bundles.

The rise in subsequent baby weights does not fill me with joy, here's why:

DD1: 40+3 - 8lb 10.5oz
DD2: 40+5 - 10lb 9oz

Here's mine:

DD1 Born 39+5 6lb 14oz
DD2 Born 40+1 8lb 15oz

Just add that they have the same dad because I have been told that different dads can affect weight and mine were quite different. xx

My brother was 7 lbs and born 2 days shy of his due date. I was 6 lbs 9 oz but I was born at 36w 6d. If I would have gone closer to 40 I would have been easily bigger than my brother.

I wont know for a little while longer with my own children. My first was 9 lbs 3 oz and 22 inches born 39w 6d.

DS1 = 39+5 7lbs 10oz
DS2 = 40+4 7lbs 2oz! But with DS2 I think they MAY have either been wrong about his due date by a few weeks or he had a touch of IGUR because he was still all hairy when he came out. -- but I suppose he could have been just hary and small

DD1 - 39+3 - 6lb 7oz
DD2 - 39+5 - 7lb 7oz

New baby is following the same curve as DD1 or smaller. She is estimated to be around 6lb 4oz at 40 weeks.

DD2 interestingly is a much bigger child generally than DD1. My eldest is still very dinky.

I'm hoping this third can be under 9...... Maybe I'll induce and smoke it out earlier than 40+7 this time....mhaha

My last baby was my smallest.

Baby #2 -- 38 weeks 4 days, 8 lb. 3 oz

If he'd been born on his due date my second would've likely been over 9 lb! Fingers crossed this baby decides to come a little early like her brother did.

Wow! Thank you for the replies! How interesting are all these weights! I think it's safe to say I'm expecting a 9pounder this time.

With your subsequent pregnancies dos you feel much heavier?

One of my best friends have birth the other week, her first was 2 weeks over and he was 7ibs and her second was born just before his due date and he was 11ib1oz!!!! It's made my eyes water just thinking about it.

I'm kinda worried (more curious though) as my dd was 7 lb 3 at 41 weeks whereas my lo right now is measuring 6 lb 6 at 36 weeks. My dr thinks my dates are probably a bit off and he'll come earlier than expected but that could also be wrong.

I'm the same petrified of having a huge baba. I don't think she'll be coming out any time soon, although I did think my waters had gone yesterday... More like wishful thinking.
