Hi guys

We have had all our tests now, follicle tracking, semen analysis, HSG, bloods etc. Got all my results and nothing sinister, tubes fine, bloods ok, definately ovulating, only thing is thin womb lining and small cyst on one ovary. Hubby not got his SA results said we had to wait until appointment with consultant. So my question is, i go back to discuss results with specialist on 26th Jan. Does anyone know what I can expect. What happens then is it jsut to run through results. Will he recommend treatment? Could i just get sent away as nothing is wrong keep trying? Anyone have any ideas what the treatment will be if hubbys sample ok and i have thin womb lining?

Thanks in advance guys x

Hey chocci

We have our appt 11th Feb and i got told by a friend at the same ACU what to expect for my consultant.

She said they run through your results for both parties and decide the way forward.

If your DH has any male factor issues then they may discuss possibility of ICSI/IVF

Did the doc that performed your HSG mention that they would treat the cyst or was it okay? I only ask as i had a small fibroid and was told this is 'normal' and like a 'knot on a tree'...

I know when we go to the clinic we will be put forward for ICSI. We will get set away with a gazillion forms to fill in and more tests - HIV/bloods/CF test for DH and then we will get another date to see the consultant - fingers crossed at the next appt which would be in 3 months time, we will be ready to start our first cycle.

Does that help?xx

Hiya

Thanks for writing :)

The said the cyst is not actually classed as a cyst tho they keep calling it that. Apparently its only a cyst at 3cm and mine is only 2cm. However, i have had it for 2 cycles now and it hasnt gone, not shrunk not grown just still there. They say it is normal and many women have them ansds nothing to worry about as my other ovary is fine and ovulating.

Am more concerned about thin womb lining possible meaning i cant implant? Also even tho my bloods came back fine on day 3 i think its was something like FSH 7 and LH 3.1 or summing but well within range, is it possible the egg quality can be not so good with good blood results? Or would my bloods definately have shown that?

Am hoping its just a course of injections or suming for me and that my hubbies swimmers are good, its awful having to wait for may fate, but something must be wrong as we have been trying for 16 mnths and at least12 of them i know we got my ovulation time right as i am regular as clockwork so there must be a reason for no fertilisation?

Good luck for your appointment, was there anything wrong with your hubbies? Is your just a fybroid? Have they found anything else?
x

Have you tried anything like vitamin b6 for your thin lining as I think (brain not working well today!) this may help thicken a womb lining.

Well i take pro natal sanatogen and just looked and it has 130% RDA in it so no that dont seem to help me :( Thanks anyway

Well it was worth suggesting, i went to check it as i have heard that before but looks like my vits cover me for that. I wonder if there are any tablets or injections the docs can give?
