Okay so its been 3 weeks on Sunday, but obviously been busy so here it goes....

Went in thursday the 27th of september, because i had hardly felt baby move all day long.. they monitored me and said i would be induced the following morning!

hardly slept that night and went in at 8am friday morning. i was monitored again and had the gel inserted, all it did was give me irregular contractions, so wasn't very hopeful of it working. at about 8pm, was sitting talking to my OH and i felt a massive gush, my waters had broken!! was so excited but then nothing else happened, so OH had to go home and i was admitted to the ward for the night. didnt sleep as was having bad irregular contractions.

Saturday morning, they came and took my BP and noted that my pulse was high, i said it was always high but they seemed concerned so admitted me to delivery suite straight away!!

had the hormone drip started and contractions started coming hard and fast. started the gas and air which made me soo sleepy but didn't do anything for the pain, had pethidine but again this was useless.

contractions got worse and at about 6pm i was examined and was 5cm!! was so excited. this was when i had the epidural as the pain was just too intense, was like someone giving me a nice warm hug :)

midwife started getting concerned because everytime i had a contraction, babys heartbeat was going really low.

was examined again at 10pm and was still 5cm!!:growlmad:

thats when the doctors came in and all i remember was signing the caesarean form and OH crying because he was scared for me and baby. :(

i remember going to the theatre and shaking uncontrollably, OH was next to me. next thing i know i'm being shown my baby and OH goes to cut the cord. i fell asleep whilst they were stitching me up, i think the pethidine made me really sleepy.

i was wheeled to recovery and stayed there for a while.

baby Daisy was 7 pounds 8 ounces and perfect!!

apparently the cord was around her neck really tight, thats why her heartbeat was going down when i was contracting. the midwife said if i would have delivered naturally she wouldn't be here :(:(:( but as i was also failing to progress, caesarean was the only way!

i stayed in hospital for 5 days and could not wait to get home!!

i suffered a bit with the baby blues for a few days but feeling fine now and treasuring my little one:cloud9::cloud9::cloud9:

have attached a photo of her about 30 minutes after birth :)

Aww she is adorable, so glad it all turned out OK. Congratulations :flower: xxx

Congratulations! She's gorgeous. My wee Darcey was born the day after her and that picture made me smile. That was the first babygrow I put on her, I love it. Was nearly crying the other day when I had to pack it away as it is far too small now. LO was 9lb

Awwh bless, daisy was weighed yesterday and she's 8 pounds 8 ounces so put on a whole pound. Was so proud :) and yeah she's too long for that sleepsuit anymore. They grow up far too quick. X
