Hi Mums

I'm seeking comfort as my little fella Dylan Blake was born last Friday evening (exactly a week ago to the hour today!) He was 31+5 delivered by C section - after several hours of inducing drip.

Consequently he is now in SCBU on a ventilator and doesn't seem to be strong enough to come off and on to CPAC just yet. I'm up and down with emotion, frustration and heartbreak as the road seems so long ahead and with no certainty.

Any guidance or real stories and experiences to help me through this difficult time would be appreciated. I just want him home

I'm so sorry hun, I don't have much experience aside from having a preterm labor stopped at 28 weeks and nervously hanging in there. ~32 weeks is so great, most babies grow up without any complications, you just have to stay strong for him now. I am sure you feel helpless, but just being there with him gives him so much strength. I will be praying for you and your little fighter :hugs:

My little man was on the vent for a long time and we finally used dexamethasone steroids to help him move on to cpap. It's very hard and it will be a long journey but try to aim for his due date as an idea of when he'll go home all being well x
