My LO is suffering frm reflux & is abit windy. We tried TT CTN & Avent, but Dr. Browns made a difr. They'r also good for colicy babies.

That's a fab deal! I think they're great - they are the only bottle that Em would take to. A bit of extra washing up with the vent but well worth it IMO!

LOVE THEM. we had avent ones but her colic was bad. Brought dr browns and have not looked back.

We started with TT CTN and now on Dr Browns, wouldn't have anything else. Extra bit of washing up but worth the effort!!

Another one who tried so many brans, then Dr Browns solved the colic!

I'm just going to be diffrent lol I bought some they made no diffrences my LO hates the shape of the teat and doesn't feed well from them, it takes twice as long to clean and steralise and if you put hot water in and screw the lid on it bubbles out of the top and scolds your hands. They are proba worth trying tho As I have heard alot of good things about them xx

O and I've only ever seen the bigger bottels but when your LO goes up oz's you won't have to buy bigger bottels xx

Thank you ladies! SOLD! Am deffo going to invest in some Dr Browns :)
Do they come in different sized bottles? These ones I've seen look quite big for a newborn but I assume you'd just fill it to 4-5ozs needed and that would do? Or should I look for a smaller bottle altogether? xxx

They make two sizes - 5oz and 8oz ones. I wouldn't bother with the smaller ones - most babies will have more than that within a month or two, so it's a bit of a waste IMO. Just stick with the big ones.

There are two things that aren't so good about Dr Browns bottles. There are lots of little bits to clean - 6 components, two of which need a fiddly little brush. The other is that they only take 8oz - my LO has been on 9oz bottles for the last 3 months! Not all babies have such big bottles though, my DS is just awkward I think.

However, they are the best fo reducing wind intake and helping with colicky symptoms, so I think worth the money.

Tried lots of brands but Dr Browns were a godsend as Charlie's colic was pretty bad and I found they made a huge difference - wee bit fiddly for cleaning but worth it for a couple of minutes extra effort

After trying other brands, we evenually found Dr Browns. I would recommend them.

It's fine to try different ones, only a few babies are fussy about it, and TBH if you start early with different types they are more likely to accept them. We've always used TT CTN and Dr Browns and just swapped as to which was clean at the time!

when they are feeding you can hear the difference

I love them

The Dr Brown bottles have been a godsend to us, fantastic!!! Didnt realise they were in the baby event- very good deal may have to get down there!!

Erin was doing fine on Tommee Tippee bottles until about 12 weeks when she just suddenly started suffering really badly with wind, and after trying Avent, and MAM bottles finally settled with Dr Browns. Now she's like a different baby!

Same here. I was using Avent until he started to get really bad problems with wind, switched to Dr Browns and it got better immediately. Only thing I will say it that they can leak so you can't shake them to mix the formula you have to just swirl it around as they are not air tight (which is why they work so well in stopping baby taking in air) and the teat sizes are small - I had to put my son on level 2 at 6 weeks (they're not meant to move up until 3 months). Apart from that, they're fab!!! X

Scarlett's wind and colic greatly reduced by itself after the first 2 months or so. We have had to buy new bottles (again!) now because the flow on the teats are so SLOW. She has been on 6 month + since about 11 weeks and it still isn't fast enough. Next time I would only use them for the first few weeks (if at all). Oh, and if you put more than 4 oz in them they leak everywhere grr.

We switched to Dr Brown bottles as we found that the teats on the Avent bottles were quite hard and LO was having trouble getting the milk out! I'd defo recommend Dr Brown.
