36 week app. Measuring small!

Just got back from my 36 week app with the midwife.

She asked how I was feeling and if I had any concerns etc, checked my wee sample which was fine.
Got to hear my little ladies heartbeat which was rather fast, but the midwife assured me it was probably because she was getting excited about being poked and prodded!!!
She then measured me and Im measuring small for my dates...she said for now, shes not worried, but if theres no change at my 38 week app then they'll be sending me for checks/scans etc.

So, I was just wondering if anyone has been in the same situation and what the outcome was?!
I certainly dont feel 'small'! I feel like a bit of a whale....!
I'll add todays photos to the Bump thread if anyone wants to have a look...x

I was always measuring small at my midwife appointments and hardly had a big bump.. Lily was 8lb 2oz lol.. Noone knew where I'd hid her! + when I had my waters broke at hosp my bump went right down and I thought I mite have a small baby but no I didnt lol. Dont worry bout it the measuring isnt accurate.. my friends mum had a HUGE bump and was due same time I had lily and had a 5lb something baby so u really cant tell.. + The scans arent accurate neway! xx

Hey babe, i've just posted about this in 3rd tri. I had my app yesterday and im measuring very small too..i measured 35 weeks at 38 weeks!! They are sending me for scan tomo as they want to check the placenta and her size as well as fluids.. they seemed quite concerned which got me worried, but hopefully everything will be ok..i've measured small throughout my whole pregnancy by about a week or so and they havent been concered till now...fingers crossed everything will be ok for the both of us!!

I was always measuring small..at the end of my pregnancy i got sent for a growth scan and she said baby was measuring big if anything and that i was just carrying her well and looked small so i wouldnt worry..it worried me alot because all along i got told she was small then i got told at the end id have a bigg baby and she come out 6lb 13..some of the estimates the midwifes gave me were ridiculous!x

i was measured small at my 28wk appointment, but mw was really reassuring and said that my body wont make a baby thats too big for me to handle and that it was just because i am quite small too. If they were concerned they would have sent you for growth scans me thinks..xx

I measured 3-4 weeks behind throughout all my pregnancy and they were never really concerned. Laila was 7lbs 4oz but she was almost two weeks late... but at 40 week she'd of been around 7lbs or just under I think.

i always measured bang on with my dates and had an 8lb baby 2 weeks early so in my opinion the best way of knowing is a scan as my was exactly the right weigh guess

Hi, I measured 29 weeks at 39 weeks. 10 weeks behind. I had a growth scan once a week from 20 weeks. The last growth scan I had done showed him weighing 6lb 14 oz. I gave birth to him the next day and he weighed 5lb 5 oz. x
