37 and 1st pregnancy

hi all after trying for 3yrs and on my 3rd round of clomid i will be 5 weeks on wed... got 1st midwife app booked in for 26th july....

got no symptoms apart from slightly tender boobs... whats everyone elses symptoms at this far along?

I had sore boobs, exhaustion, mood swings and slight nausea but not too bad at about 5 weeks or so. Everyone seems to have different symptoms though.

Keep us posted as to how your first appt goes!

Hiya, gl with everything. Im 37 (til next month anyway hehe) and preg with first too. Its a mad ride! So far ive had sore boobs, total exhaustion, slight nausea but no ms. I had one early scan at 8 wks and we heard heart beat another scan right at the end of the month. Generally nervous, excited and tired xxx

I am 37 too with my first pregnancy. Took Clomid for 5 rounds and finally got my bfp. I am almost 7 weeks and so excited. Just praying that this sweet pea soon to become a blueberry will stick.
I went for a 7 weeks scan last week and we heard the baby heartbeat. It was amazing!!!

My symptoms are sore bb's off and on, pee a lot, a little nausea here and there but nothing terrible, hungrier than usual, need naps during the day although I have not been sleeping well at night.

Hope your little bean will stick too. We worked hard to get them there.

how long have you had all your symtoms? i started with the sore boobs just 2-3 days after missed period... dont think i will be getting an early scan cos i wont even be seeing midwife till im 7 weeks... its weird i want to tell work because i lift a lot at work but then im questioning even if i am pregnant as after all we only got a preg test saying so lol its so sureal

Ah, congrats hun!!! I'm currently prego with my first as well (also age 37)... after TTC for quit some time. It's so wonderful

I've personally had very little issues my entire pregnancy (so far)-- I was queasy for about 3wks all day early on (from 6-9wks), then sensitive to smells for a while after that... now I battle heart burn, but otherwise, I feel great.

I have not had any spotting but I hear a lot of ladies here that had it. They say as long as it is not bright red and with clots you should be okay. But I would call you doctor and let then know what is happening.

today when i got up i spotted bright red but the rest of the day its been brown... i rang the nurse and she said there isnt anything they can do till im 6 weeks(im 5+1 today.. she said it could be start of miscarriage or it might sort itself out and if it carries on when i get to 6 weeks to call them again and they will do a blood test and maybe send me for a scan

Hi! I'll be 37 in November and am expecting my second. With DD I had nausea, although no actual sickness, and was overwhelmingly tired until 14 weeks.

I am now 13 weeks and haven't had any symptoms at all this time - even the tiredness hasn't been as consuming as I remember last time.

I had some brown discharge two days ago and asked about it at my scan yesterday. A MW came to see us and said that it's nothing to worry about as long as it doesn't turn into proper bleeding, and even then it doesn't necessarily mean anything bad.

I haven't posted anything major on the forums yet, as I don't know my due date. My periods were erratic after coming off the pill and I've recently moved to Canada from the UK.
I've been told I could be anywhere from 11 to 20 weeks (DH nearly fell off his chair when the nurse told us that!). She had to place the doppler way higher than she was expecting. Hearing the heartbeat was lovely though - I have a scan next week.

Hello ladies, i am also 37 (38 in Sept!) and about 5 weeks pregnant with my first. I am feeling very lucky because we had no problems getting pregnant (on the first try!) and i am hypothyroid (with Hashimoto's) to boot. i am having sore boobs, metal mouth, fatigue, and frequent peeing. today i had bloat and backache too (normal for me).
I am really looking forward to my first appointment but I live in Switzerland and I have no clue how things work here! (and no one to ask!)

Hello everyone! I am also 37 years old and am pregnant for the second time after a miscarriage this past February. So far my boobs have been very sore and I am tired all of the time. I have an appointment tomorrow for a full physical and another ultrasound. I am very excited! Congrats to everyone!

Hello, I too am 37 and pregnant with my first after 2nd round of iui! Great to see so many 37's out there! All my symptoms have been minor and I am 11 weeks 5 days now. Hope all of you are feeling great too!

I'm almost 37, have a few weeks to go until my birthday when, to quote what my coworker said to me today, "I will be in my late 30's" .

I've had huge, sometimes sore boobs and a lot of round ligament pain and bloating. I also need to take a 10-15 minute nap when I get home from work every day in order to be able to function for the rest of the night.

Sorry I never noticed this thread before, I started the thread "Is anyone else pregnant for the first time after IVF?" due to not finding a place to belong in the first trimester forums. It sounds like I've found another place to hang out!
