Hi ladies,

I am new to this and in need of some advice. So here is a little bio on me:

I am 38, married the love of my life in January of 2014 (got off the pill in December 2013) and recently found out I have DOR(FSH LEVEL of 13). Of course I was stunned by this news b/c I have always had a normal 28 day cycle like clock work and really never had any reproductive problems (granted, I know I am 38). We are scheduled to see a fertility specialist next week to see what our options are. Both my husband and I very hesitant on doing fertility injections and IVF. I have friends that have gone through injections and IVF without success. We would much prefer doing things naturally. A friend of mine recommended Ovaboost as she was in my situation and swears by them. I ordered them last night along with, Feritilaid and FertileCM. I am coming to you ladies with any advice, experiences, etc. I have read that Fertilaid is more for irregular cycles (which is not my case) and can mess up a persons cycle if they are regular. Has anyone experienced this? Has anyone used Ovaboost and liked it, did it work, etc? Sorry for the long story, but any discussions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

Hi ObrieninLA! Sorry to hear about your FSH level! For the most part I have normal 28 day cycles as well but I suspect I have something wrong with my progesterone levels. My LP is always 13 to 14 days but my temps are very rocky. I have never tried any of those products you are referring to. However, I am thinking of trying Vitex. I heard it can help with hormonal imbalances which I am pretty sure I am experiencing due to being on the pill for almost 20 years. I think I am also going to take Evening Primrose Oil on CD 1-12 to help with my fertile CM. You should join the thread "38 and TTC first baby, anyone else?". There are a lot of us in that group and some may have had experiences with some of the supplements you are thinking of taking.
