4 days late, slight spotting no cramps?

Pretty much the title. Bfn when I tested day of AF. No sign of af, but now slight dark brown (muddy looking) spotting. Help?

No help, but just wanted to let you know you're not alone! I'm four days late, two BFNs, but no symptoms. It's enough to drive a person absolutely mad!

It may mean that you didn't ovulate and your body is just getting rid of access blood. Brown discharge is old blood. This is what most of my periods looked like, they were ranging from 34-48 days and my periods were extremely light, usually dark in color. Doc said it means I probably wasn't ovulating.
