Hi

I used to BF and then at 3.5 months I combined now I am exclusibe FF but my lo takes 42-45oz a day of Aptimal this seems excessive to me but he needs it, please let me know what you think, he has 6 feeds a day but sleeps 12-13 hours a night :happydance::rofl:

Opinions would be appreciated

Thanks

Are you using hungry baby formula? If not, it might be worth trying the switch, it will fill him up more.

my lo is 3 months and was taking the same hes not dropped down to 5 8 oz feeds and still still sleeps 13 houras at noght! it might be best to ask the health vistor about hungry baby milk! x

Thre is a huge growth spurt at 4 months that usually last about 2 weeks and then settles down. I'd carry on giving him the extra milk he needs x

During Earl's 4 month growth spurt he peaked at 56oz in a 24hr period.

I never used HB milk a it didn't agree with Earl so we stuck with SMA 1 and he's still on it now.

Totally normal at that age to be eating you out of house and home as theyre growing and developing the fastest they will ever in their lives!

I ould carry on feeding on demand and it will calm down soon. Earl went back down to 40-45oz a day until about 3 weeks ago when he dropped his night feeds and now takes 20-25 a day with 3 meals.
