I thought I'd share my story........

I'm 40 now and think I've just had my 10th miscarriage , even though they're over 20 years it still doesn't get easier. I'm one of the fortunate ones that has two children already ( girls, 21&5 ..... Big gap I know) I haven't taken contraception for over 6 months and my cycle is always quite regular. This time I was over a week late so I took a test, and it was positive , both me and my husband were overjoyed but at the same time a little wary of the threat of ANOTHER miscarriage. I got to 6 weeks with sore breasts and terrible morning sickness...... Then BOOM last Thursday I start to bleed but without any pain. I went straight to the docs who took another pregnancy test then my blood. He told me to go home and rest. I carried on bleeding but not heavy then Saturday afternoon came the pain ( horrible :-(....) it only lasted for a few hrs then stopped .... Then Sunday afternoon was exactly the same. I took a home pregnancy test and there was a faint second line, so now me and my husband dont know what to think.Anybody who has miscarried will know that you get slight contractions and without sounding nasty, you lose deep red clots. I have hardly lost any clots and the pain has ceased again. Went back to the docs for them to take more blood. Just awaiting the results now. One thing I do know is that we REALLY wanted this baby..... I'll keep you posted with results

Sorry if I've gone on but thought my story might help someone somewhere

I hope it works out ok! Two of my friends who both had twins both bled a lot with their pregnancys and went on to go full term. Where are you? I know in Manchester Uk there is a specialist unit who deal with miscarriage and high risk pregnancys. They have good methods of telling if a pregnancy is at risk or not viable.
Keep us posted and I have my fingers crossed for you that it will be ok.:hugs::hugs:

Keep us posted, One of my friends bled throughout the first 3 months of the pregnancy and she still went full term and her little boy is gorgeous.
Have you asked your doctor for an emergency scan?

Hope you get some answers soon!!!!!
A scan should help...demand one!!!!!
Keep us posted.....:hugs:

:hugs: I started bleeding during my pregnancy with Mackenzie at 8weeks...went in to ER and they sent me home w/diagnosis "Threatened Miscarriage". I was sure I was losing the pregnancy but went back for a follow up with my ob/gyn and her heartbeat was perfect and we saw her on the ultrasound.

My fingers are crossed for you!
