Hello, I've never written on a forum before but I'm going slightly crazy and need to talk about this weird state of limbo I'm in.
I'm very lucky to have a beautiful 2 year old but we have been trying for 15 months for a second. I have Crohn's disease and was warned by my consultant not to leave it until late thirties to have a family as the disease can affect fertility but I didn't meet my husband until late so here I am.
After 12 months of trying i had blood tests showing I wasn't ovulating and was referred to a fertility consultant. My AMH levels were tested as 1.5 (pmol/l) v.low as the median range for a 40yr old is 0.7 to 21 pmol/l. I also have found out my right ovary is blocked (adhesions through bowel surgery from my illness) and not working so my AF count is also low ~7 so I was told IVF flare regime is my only real chance. I have also got a tilted womb so had to have a trial embryo transfer last week which went ok so we are now set for the IVF 'chat' on 20th April and can start my first cycle after that.
BUT today I am on day 3 of my missed period!!! I have been on a 25 day cycle for last 15 months with occasional 20 day cycle. I got a negative pregnancy test yesterday morning but Google has taught me not to worry about that and I'm sure I am having pregnancy symptoms. Or could this be the start of the menopause???
Going to the loo at the moment is an emotional roller coaster
