anyway im just looking for some info im 41 and using clear blue fertility monitor and iv noticed im ovulating ever other month so should i go doctors and get some clomid can you use it if you ovulate any help please xx

hi there, you can use clomid if you ovulate, yes. it just helps to regulate ovulation and can produce more eggs.

I would go and get everything checked if I were you, just to be sure there isn't something wrong that is easily fixed. I turned 41 last dec and went to the GP the following week after TTC for 12 months following a missed miscarriage. The GP referred me to the fertility specialist for bloods, a scan of uterus and tubes and sperm analysis for other half. The first appointment was Feb with the scan in April. The bloods confirmed I was ovulating and they didn't see any benefit for me in taking clomid but recommended supplements for OH. I got a positive test in early May this year.

It's worth going at this stage for peace of mind. Good luck.
