Delivered son at 35 weeks 6 days
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Had my stitch removed Friday 7/22/2011 placed for an incompetent cervix. automatically dialated to 2 cm. Dr had us walk around for about an hour and my cervix diated to 4CM. Admitted to L&D. Walked about for several hours, sat in warm whirlpool for an hour here and there.
Dr. checked around 5pm and at 5-6cm only. He started pitocin and my contractions started getting more frequent. around 7-7:30 checked again and still at 5-6cm. Asked him to just break my water as I'm sure that is why my labors always went so fast--he did cause he was going to anyway. I just wanted to get this show on the road (LOL). Well that did it...one hard contraction on top of another. Asked for pain meds about 7:45-8PM. Gave me a shot of nubane---didn't really do too much except a little relief for about the next 4 contractions. Wanted to start pushing after 8PM so I started pushing and told nurses. They went to get the Dr.
At 8:26pm my son, Nathan Robert was born weighing 6 lbs 10 oz, 21 1/4 inches long. He is such a joy. I always wanted my 3 kids and now I have them. I've in seventh heaven with an almost 16-yr old daughter, 13 yr-old boy, and another son. Cord blood sent off...hopefully will be a match for my daughter that CML leukemia. Thanks to my sister, daughter and husband for all the support in L&D and whomever rubbed my toes and feet that was awesome...I knew when they stopped cause I asked for more Thanks to Dr. K.
Throwing all the pregnancy and labor and delivery dust to everyone.
