5 days late bfn

hello all,

this is my first post on the site and i already have a 5yo darling girl.
i never had any symptoms with her except the sore breasts but tested BPF at 18DPO.

i've missed my period this time by 5 days but actually ttc. the sensitive early HPT tests show a BFN (off ebay = fertility2family brand, internet cheapies)
i just have the sore breasts and bloated tummy and cramping which i usually have with PMS.

has anyone else tested BFP later than 5 days on a sensitive HPT pls ?

Hi there

Your not on your own, im also 5 days late!

Have you tried a first response early result test? these are what most pple on here swear by as their very sensitive

Alternatively, like me, go and see your doctor and ask for a blood test

good to know that i have a buddy with exact no of dates late.. feels good not to be alone. do you have any symptoms?

i haven't actually tried FR this time. but i did order a different brand off ebay this time. has not arrived yet. will check with it till i am over a week late and then try the FR.

I ordered some FRER and am waiting for them to arrive but ive made an appt with my doc and will ask him what he thinks as I "think" im 20DPO today

ive had this niggling/pulling cramp in my tummy for about 2 weeks now, i feel sick (mainly when i get out of bed but not been sick), ive had backache constantly for about a week, a few headaches (which i never get), sore gums but not today, for 2 evenings i had a pain in my right hip area, CM but not loads, just noticable

i just wish AF would come so i knew where i stood!

Have you had any symptoms?

thanks hun. just the cramps and sore boobs and headaches i usually have before a period. i did have avery sharp pain in my left lower abdomen close to the hip though and i couldnt even bend over it hurt bad. noticable cm. no backaches and dont feel sick either. i never was sick with the first baby either and my mom never had any with me it seems. so probably something that runs in the family.

goo luck with the FRERs.. i'm just waiting for my internet stuff to arrive.

hubby is moving in with us permanently on friday, he works in melbourne so just visits us on and off. i just hope i have some good news for him

hopefully my doc this afternoon will give me an idea on whats going on

i dont normally get bad cramps or anything when i AF so having this pain for 2 weeks is really annoying me now

I am 5 days late too and still getting BFN, considering the doctors but I'm not sure. I have very sore bbs and I keep getting cramps on and off

i keep reading about pple who are late (in some cases very late) and their bodies just havent produced enough HCG for a test to pick up - the best test is blood which is what im hoping my doc will arrange for me

Yeah that's we've heard. You don't... I couldnt get comfy last night trying to sleep with them. They've gotten hue and sore! Not sure what do to!

I am a week late and had not pregnant on digi. had a faint bfp on a fr waiting till friday to test again on a fr hopefully will get my bfp. Keep testing with the one step ones i got from amazon but they are negative. got sore boobs feeling bit sick.

Still getting BFN but i have had cramps ALL DAY , that feel slightly different to my period. I just notied i've got very very small tinges of pink in discharge when i wipe..?
Any ideas what that is??

Well ive just come back from docs and he told me 5 days late is too early for me to test!!!! I nearly told him to come on this forum and see pple at 7DPO getting BFP's!

He told me to test again at 7 days and if still negative then to call to make another appt and he will then consider a blood test - good job hes not my normal doc otherwise id never go and see him and anything

on my way home i brought some FRER and couldnt resist so just tested - if i hold my head to an angle i think i can see a faint faint line but im not convinced so will leave it until its 7 days and test again

I thought i had a faint line the other day, which others could see... But nothing since then!
Thats crap what the Dr said, thats why i am worried about going... incase they turn me away... I will be 6 days past tmorrow when i go! But my doc is pretty good so not sure.
Just keep testing and arrange for another app exactly a week past!!!
They say you can see your Dr as soon as you are late, so making you wait longer is just frustrating... Do they not understand the mental issues the waiting gives you?!?!

I had a faint lines last thur and fri but sat was negative

this wasnt my normal doctor so i will wait until thurs then call them to see my doc even if i have to wait id rather wait and get to see someone i know will listen

i just "know" it will be negative on thurs - just have that feeling

I spoke to a doc yesterday and he said the same. but he said wait to weeks till i test like i will last that long.

Lou, I noticed you said "he" told you to wait - the doc i saw today was a him - im wondering if, because they havent been thru it themselves that they just look at it from a medical point of view and dont realise the emotions that this is causing us

Maybe a female doc would be slightly more understand - who knows

Pinky!! You soooo do not want them trust me!! I would have removed them off my body the last time I got preggers!! Some ppl are just lucky not to have boob pain and be preggers and I sure hoe you are one of the lucky ones Hun!! Hope your doc appointment will go well., hoping for the best for you!!
