Also, the chickpea hummus recipe calls for using tahini, something most of us probably don't have on hand (actually, it's delicious on toast with a drizzle of honey, so it's worth getting some if you don't). But it also has a strong flavour that some babies and adults may not like, so I'd recommend also trying this Nigella Lawson hummus recipe which substitutes peanut (or other nut) butter for the tahini. It's really good, doesn't have the same bitterness as traditional hummus, and means I'm more likely to make it because I tend to have nut butter of some sort lying around more so than tahini.
