5 year old has a cataract

Does anyone have any experience of this? Just back from an eye test which was a school referral and being told that dd2 has a cataract, very shocked to say the least, having an urgent referral to the cataract clinic which is suppose to 2-3 weeks , she has limited vision in that eye but very good in her left, I'm shocked that I've not noticed anything myself if there's anything I could of noticed. Sorry for the long essay! Xxx

You have probably been seen by now but someone i used to know had a daughter diagnosed when she was 2-3?? She had them removed, she did need laser surgery to get rid of some scarring but has recently been discharged from the eye clinic at the age of 7.

Her nursery picked it up, the mum hadn't noticed x
