I had my little girl five months ago and about an inch and half under my belly button the whole lower tummy is still sore and tender. eg if im resting baby on my tummy i have to move her as it hurts too much, any pressure on that area it hurts. and generally i feel pain in it everyday, i did have a crash section (thats what it says in my notes) after a two day labour, and pushing for a hour but she was 10lb3 and half lol and back to back so they said i would never of had her natural, afterwards i didnt rest much (wish i had now) could that of caused damage im feeling now or did my section cause the damage. has anybody else had this or is it normal? many thanks :D

I know this doesn't answer your question but...I had a crash section after a two day labour as she was 10lb 1oz and back to back. They also said I wouldn't have been able to give birth naturally to her because of this and we called her Esme!!

Just seems like you could be my birthing twin!

I spoke to my aunt about her section and she told me that it does take a long time to heal and that you feel numb for a long time after (years she told me!). I think the soreness could be quite normal, I'm experiencing that a lot, although I'm only 3 weeks pp, and I'd imagine it takes a long time for everything to get back to normal.

Yes!! I have exactly the same. Mine is not only tender, but when I feel around it, there's a hard knot that sometimes seems to get infected.

I've had 4 c-sects, and after my 3rd one I was diagnosed as being allergic to the stitches. Even so, my gynae still used dissolvable stitches, because the alternative would've been to use nylon for the uterus, and then having to re-open me to take the stitches out months after the birth. So my problem is partly due to this allergy I have. The other factor causing it, is that my uterus was extremely thin when the c-sect was done (I guess on the verge of rupturing). The gynae struggled to stop the bleeding and said she had to use some extra stitching, and that's the "knot" I feel. I'm also one of the very unlucky few women who's uterus takes FOREVER to shrink down to pre-pregnancy size.

I'm just hoping it gets better soon. For you and me! :hugs:

ETA: Just wanted to add that I'm also 5 months pp, my daughter is 6 days younger than yours!

OMG how weird is this!!! next you will be telling me your baby is mixed race like ours :p they did try and turn her but she would not move. this is crazy. and congrats :D yeah it does take time to heal im thinking depending on how the section was ie planned or unplanned etc goes on the healing time.
