60+ day cycle and ttc

Hi there,
Im new here nd wondering if u guys can help me with some advice.

I have always had an extremely irregular cycle lasting anywhere between 6 wks nd 5 months.
In my late teens i starting the bcp and was doin well on it.
I got off it apprx a yr ago because were ttc and my cycles came back just as irregular.
I did visit my gyno nd he told us to wait a bit longer b4 prescribing anythn to regulate my periods.
Interestingly enough my last few cycles have been, 62, 63 and 61 days which is long but pretty regular.
im wondering...
Am i ovulating at all???
What are your experiences?
Nd if i am ovulating, is a long cycle any indication of the quality of my eggs??

Hi, I am also irregular and my longest cycle was 60 days. My Dr did a progesterone test which showed I was ovulating but it wasn't very convincing for me because the level wasn't *that* high. When I asked him why my cycles are so long he couldn't tell me! Just said that I would be referred to the gynecologist and FS and they would do furthur tests. I was on the pill on and off for 9 years and my dr did say they can play a part in irregular periods afterwards. xxxx

thanks for the response.
i'm actually waiting for my current cycle to finish and i'll see what happens. (i'm at 30 days).
but i will give that test you mentioned a try to see if min levels are low too...
when i went onto the pill my doctor was actually saying that in some cases the pill can regulate ones cycles. (mine were always irregular)
but i guess that didnt happen cuz its still goin crazy...
