7 weeks and still.....

in agony!!!!! I'm BF and i'm still in afgony when feeding, long story but me and my LLL Leader have tried EVERYTHING and we're pretty much out of ideas other than waiting for his little mouth to grow!!!!! I just keep thinkin just give it another week but i'm feeling pretty defeated now!!!!!! I dunno how much longer my nipples can take the pain

Have you looked into thrush in your nipples?

Yeah we've had a couple of treatments for thrush but the pains from my nipple blanching as he clamps it between his tongue and his hard palet, it hurts so bad today and his growth spurt isn't easing off

vickwick i am exactly the same!!! I have seen a LL leader, health visitor, NHS lactation consultant etc and to no avail. Im hanging in there (Oscar is 6 weeks now) but have been giving 1 - 2 bottles a day cause the pain is so bad. Everyday I make my mind up to give up and then change my mind again. I hope it gets better for you soon

I know how you feel - I was exactly the same. And then just after it started getting better I got thrush and was in pain all over again!

I'm still going at 10 months though, and loving it. Hope it gets better for you soon x

Got more thrush treatment and the pains eased a little but my poor nipples are still sore, my right one on the tip is white cos theres no blood getting to it as he feeds THe feeds do feel like they're gradually getting better tho so fingers crossed it won't be much longer!!!!!
